1. फिर यहोवा ने मूसा से कहा,

1. And the LORD spoke unto Moses, saying,

2. चांदी की दो तुरहियां गढ़के बनाई जाएं; तू उनको मण्डली के बुलाने, और छावनियों के प्रस्थान करने में काम में लाना।

2. Make thee two trumpets of silver; of beaten work shalt thou make them that thou may use them for the convocation of the congregation and for the moving of the camp.

3. और जब वे दोनों फंूकी जाएं, तब सारी मण्डली मिलापवाले तम्बू के द्वार पर तेरे पास इकट्ठी हो जाए।

3. And when they shall blow them, all the congregation shall join themselves to thee at the door of the tabernacle of the testimony.

4. और यदि एक ही तुरही फूंकी जाए, तो प्रधान लोग जो इस्त्राएल के हजारों के मुख्य पुरूष हैं तेरे पास इकट्ठे हो जाएं।

4. But when they blow [only] one, then the princes, [who are] heads of the thousands of Israel, shall gather themselves unto thee.

5. जब तुम लोग सांस बान्धकर फूंको, तो पूरब दिशा की छावनियों का प्रस्थान हो।

5. When ye blow an alarm, then ye shall move the camp of those that are lodged towards the east.

6. और जब तुम दूसरी बेर सांस बान्धकर फूंको, तब दक्खिन दिशा की छावनियों का प्रस्थान हो। उनके प्रस्थान करने के लिये वे सांस बान्धकर फूंकें।

6. And when ye blow an alarm the second time, then ye shall move the camp of those that are lodged on the side of the Negev; they shall blow an alarm for their journeys.

7. और जब लोगों को इकट्ठा करके सभा करनी हो तब भी फूंकना परन्तु सांस बान्धकर नहीं।

7. But when the congregation is to be gathered together, ye shall blow, but ye shall not sound an alarm.

8. और हारून के पुत्रा जो याजक हैं वे उन तुरहियों को फूंका करें। यह बात तुम्हारी पीढ़ी- पीढ़ी के लिये सर्वदा की विधि रहे।

8. And the sons of Aaron, the priests, shall blow the trumpets; and you shall have them as a perpetual statute throughout your generations.

9. और जब तुम अपने देश में किसी सतानेवाले बैरी से लड़ने को निकलो, तब तुरहियों को सांस बान्धकर फूंकना, तब तुम्हारे परमेश्वर यहोवा को तुम्हारा स्मरण आएगा, और तुम अपने शत्रुओं से बचाए जाओगे।

9. And when ye go to war in your land against the enemy that oppresses you, then ye shall blow an alarm with the trumpets; and ye shall be remembered before the LORD your God, and ye shall be saved from your enemies.

10. और अपने आनन्द के दिन में, और अपने नियत पर्ब्बों में, और महीनों के आदि में, अपने होमबलियों और मेलबलियों के साथ उन तुरहियों को फूंकना; इस से तुम्हारे परमेश्वर को तुम्हारा स्मरण आएगा; मैं तुम्हारा परमेश्वर यहोवा हूं।।

10. Also in the day of your gladness and in your solemn days and in the beginnings of your months, ye shall blow the trumpets over your burnt offerings and over the sacrifices of your peace, that they may be to you for a memorial before your God; I AM your God.

11. और दूसरे वर्ष के दूसरे महीने के बीसवें दिन को बादल साक्षी के निवास पर से उठ गया,

11. And it came to pass on the twentieth [day] of the second month, in the second year, that the cloud was taken up from off the tabernacle of the testimony.

12. तब इस्त्राएली सीनै के जंगल में से निकलकर प्रस्थान करके निकले; और बादल पारान नाम जंगल में ठहर गया।

12. And the sons of Israel moved out of the wilderness of Sinai, and the cloud rested in the wilderness of Paran.

13. उनका प्रस्थान यहोवा की उस आज्ञा के अनुसार जो उस ने मूसा को दी थी आरम्भ हुआ।

13. And they moved the first time according to the commandment of the LORD by the hand of Moses.

14. और सब से पहले तो यहूदियों की छावनी के झंडे का प्रस्थान हुआ, और वे दल बान्धकर चले; और उन का सेनापति अम्मीनादाब का पुत्रा नहशोन था।

14. In the first [place] went the standard of the camp of the sons of Judah according to their armies, and over his host [was] Nahshon, the son of Amminadab.

15. और इस्साकारियों के गोत्रा का सेनापति सूआर का पुत्रा नतनेल था।

15. And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Issachar [was] Nethaneel, the son of Zuar.

16. और जबूलूनियों के गोत्रा का सेनापति हेलोन का पुत्रा एलीआब था।

16. And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Zebulun [was] Eliab, the son of Helon.

17. तब निवास उतारा गया, और गेर्शोनियों और मरारियों ने जो निवास को उठाते थे प्रस्थान किया।

17. And the tabernacle was already taken down, and the sons of Gershon and the sons of Merari set forward, bearing the tabernacle.

18. फिर रूबेन की छावनी झंडे का कूच हुआ, और वे भी दल बनाकर चले; और उनका सेनापति शदेऊर का पुत्रा एलीशूर था।

18. Then the standard of the camp of Reuben set forward according to their armies, and over his host [was] Elizur, the son of Shedeur.

19. और शिमोनियों के गोत्रा का सेनापति सूरीश ै का पुत्रा शलूमीएल था।

19. And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Simeon [was] Shelumiel, the son of Zurishaddai.

20. और गादियों के गोत्रा का सेनापति दूएल का पुत्रा एल्यासाप था।

20. And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Gad [was] Eliasaph, the son of Deuel.

21. तब कहातियों ने पवित्रा वस्तुओं को उठाए हुए प्रस्थान किया, और उनके पहुंचने तक गेर्शोनियों और मरारियों ने निवास को खड़ा कर दिया।

21. Then the Kohathites set forward, bearing the sanctuary, and while they were coming, [the others] set up the tabernacle.

22. फिर एप्रैमियों की छावनी के झंडे का कूच हुआ, और वे भी दल बनाकर चले; और उनका सेनापति अम्मीहूद का पुत्रा एलीशामा था।

22. After them the standard of the camp of the sons of Ephraim set forward according to their armies, and over his host [was] Elishama, the son of Ammihud.

23. और मनश्शेइयों के गोत्रा को सेनापति पदासूर का पुत्रा गम्लीएल था।

23. And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Manasseh [was] Gamaliel, the son of Pedahzur.

24. और बिन्यामीनियों के गोत्रा का सेनापति गिदोनी का पुत्रा अबीदान था।

24. And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Benjamin [was] Abidan, the son of Gideoni.

25. फिर दानियों की छावनी जो सब छावनियों के पीछे थी, उसके झंडे का प्रस्थान हुआ, और वे भी दल बना कर चले; और उनका सेनापति अम्मीश ै का पुत्रा अखीआज़र था।

25. Then the standard of the camp of the sons of Dan set forward according to their armies, gathering together all the camps, and over his host [was] Ahiezer, the son of Ammishaddai.

26. और आशेरियों के गोत्रा का सेनापति ओक्रान का पुत्रा पजीएल था।

26. And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Asher [was] Pagiel, the son of Ocran.

27. और नप्तालियों के गोत्रा का सेनापति एनान का पुत्रा अहीरा था।

27. And over the host of the tribe of the sons of Naphtali was Ahira, the son of Enan.

28. इस्त्राएली इसी प्रकार अपने अपने दलों के अनुसार प्रस्थान करते, और आगे बढ़ा करते थे।

28. Thus [were] the journeyings of the sons of Israel according to their armies when they set forward.

29. और मूसा ने अपने ससुर रूएल मिद्यानी के पुत्रा होबाब से कहा, हम लोग उस स्थान की यात्रा करते हैं जिसके विषय में यहोवा ने कहा है, कि मैं उसे तुम को दूंगा; सो तू भी हमारे संग चल, और हम तेरी भलाई करेंगे; क्योंकि यहोवा ने इस्त्राएल के विषय में भला ही कहा है।

29. Then Moses said unto Hobab, the son of Raguel the Midianite, Moses' father in law, We are journeying unto the place of which the LORD said, I will give it to you. Come thou with us, and we will do thee good; for the LORD has spoken good concerning Israel.

30. होबाब ने उसे उत्तर दिया, कि मैं नहीं जाऊंगा; मैं अपने देश और कुटुम्बियों में लौट जाऊंगा।

30. And he said unto him, I will not go; but I will depart to my own land and to my kindred.

31. फिर मूसा ने कहा, हम को न छोड़, क्योंकि जंगल में कहां कहां डेरा खड़ा करना चाहिये, यह तुझे ही मालूम है, तू हमारे लिये आंखों का काम देना।

31. And he said, Leave us not, I pray thee; for thou knowest how we are to encamp in the wilderness, and thou shalt be to us instead of eyes.

32. और यदि तू हमारे संग चले, तो निश्चय जो भलाई यहोवा हम से करेगा उसी के अनुसार हम भी तुझ से वैसा ही करेंगे।।

32. And it shall be, if thou go with us, that when we come into the goodness that the LORD shall do unto us, that we will do thee good.

33. फिर इस्त्राएलियों ने यहोवा के पर्वत से प्रस्थान करके तीन दिन की यात्रा की; और उन तीनों दिनों के मार्ग में यहोवा की वाचा का सन्दूक उनके लिये विश्राम का स्थान ढूंढ़ता हुआ उनके आगे आगे चलता रहा।

33. Thus they departed from the mount of the LORD three days' journey, and the ark of the covenant of the LORD went before them [in the] three days' journey, searching out a resting place for them.

34. और जब वे छावनी के स्थान से प्रस्थान करते थे तब दिन भर यहोवा का बादल उनके ऊपर छाया रहता था।

34. And the cloud of the LORD [was] upon them by day, from when they went out of the camp.

35. और जब जब सन्दूक का प्रस्थान होता था तब तब मूसा यह कहा करता था, कि हे यहोवा, उठ, और तेरे शत्रु तित्तर बित्तर हो जाएं, और तेरे बैरी तेरे साम्हने से भाग जाएं।

35. And it came to pass, when the ark was moved, that Moses said, Rise up, LORD, and let thine enemies be scattered, and let those that hate thee flee before thee.

36. और जब जब वह ठहर जाता था तब तब मूसा कहा करता था, कि हे यहोवा, हजारोंझार इस्त्राएलियों में लौटकर आ जा।।

36. And when it rested, he said, Return, O LORD, unto the ten thousands of Israel.:
