1. क्योंकि देखो, वह धधकते भट्ठे का सा दिन आता है, जब सब अभिमानी और सब दुराचारी लोग अनाज की खूंटी बन जाएंगे; और उस आनेवाले दिन में वे ऐसे भस्म हो जाएंगे कि उनका पता तक न रहेगा, सेनाओं के यहोवा का यही वचन है।

1. There is a day coming that will burn like a hot furnace, and all the proud and evil people will be like straw. On that day they will be completely burned up so that not a root or branch will be left,' says the Lord All-Powerful.

2. परन्तु तुम्हारे लिये जो मेरे नाम का भय मानते हो, धर्म का सूर्य उदय होगा, और उसकी किरणों के द्वारा तुम चंगे हो जाओगे; और तुम निकलकर पाले हुए बछड़ों की नाई कूदोगे और फांदोगे।

2. 'But for you who honor me, goodness will shine on you like the sun, with healing in its rays. You will jump around, like well-fed calves.

3. तब तुम दुष्टों को लताड़ डालोगे, अर्थात्मेरे उस ठहराए हुए दिन में वे तुम्हारे पांवों के नीचे की राख बन जाएंगे, सेनाओं के यहोवा का यही वचन है।।

3. Then you will crush the wicked like ashes under your feet on the day I will do this,' says the Lord All-Powerful.

4. मेरे दास मूसा की व्यवस्था अर्थात् जो जो विधि और नियम मैं ने सारे इ एलियों के लिये उसको होरेब में दिए थे, उनको स्मरण रखो।।

4. Remember the teaching of Moses my servant, those laws and rules I gave to him on Mount Sinai for all the Israelites.

5. देखो, यहोवा के उस बड़े और भयानक दिन के आने से पहिले, मैं तुम्हारे पास एलिरयाह नबी को भेजूंगा।

5. But I will send you Elijah the prophet before that great and terrifying day of the Lord's judging.

6. और वह माता पिता के मन को उनके पुत्रों की ओर, और पुत्रों के मन को उनके माता- पिता की ओर फेरेगा; ऐसा न हो कि मैं आकर पृथ्वी को सत्यानाश करूं।।

6. Elijah will help parents love their children and children love their parents. Otherwise, I will come and put a curse on the land.'
