1. इस्राएल के विषय में यहोवा का कहा हुआ भारी वचन: यहोवा को आकाश का ताननेवाला, पृथ्वी की नेव डालनेवाला और मनुष्य की आत्मा का रचनेवाला है, उसकी यह वाणी है,

1. The burden of the word of the LORD upon Israel, said the LORD, who stretches forth the heavens and lays the foundation of the earth and forms the spirit of man within him.

2. देखो, मैं यरूशलेम को चारों ओर की सब जातियों के लिये लड़खड़ा देने के मद का कटोरा ठहरा दूंगा; और जब यरूशलेम घेर लिया जाएगा तब यहूदा की दशा भी ऐसी ही होगी।

2. Behold, I place Jerusalem as [a] cup of poison unto all the peoples round about and also unto Judah [who] shall be in the siege against Jerusalem.

3. और उस समय पृथ्वी की सारी जातियां यरूशलेम के विरूद्ध इकट्ठी होंगी, तब मैं उसको इतना भारी पत्थर बनाऊंगा, कि जो उसको उठाएंगे वे बहुत ही घायल होंगे।

3. And it shall be that in that day I will make Jerusalem a burdensome stone unto all peoples; all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, and all the Gentiles of the earth shall gather themselves together against her.

4. यहोवा की यह वाणी है, उस समय मैं हर एक घोड़े का घबरा दूंगा, और उसके सवार को धायल करूंगा। परन्तु मैं यहूदा के घराने पर कृपादृष्टि रखूंगा, जब मैं अन्यजातियों के सब घोड़ों को अन्धा कर डालूंगा।

4. In that day, said the LORD, I will smite every horse with astonishment and his rider with madness; but I will open my eyes upon the house of Judah and will smite every horse of the peoples with blindness.

5. तब यहूदा के अधिपति सोचेंगे कि यरूशलेम के निवासी अपने परमेश्वर, सेनाओं के यहोवा की सहायता से मेरे सहायक बनेंगे।।

5. And the captains of Judah shall say in their heart, My strength [is] the inhabitants of Jerusalem in the LORD of the hosts, their God.

6. उस समय मैं यहूदा के अधिपतियों को ऐसा कर दूंगा, जैसी लकड़ी के ढेर में आग भरी अंगेठी वा पूले में जलती हुई मशाल होती है, अर्थात् वे दहिने बांए चारों ओर के सब लोगों को भस्म कर डालेंगे; और यरूशलेम जहां अब बसी है, वहीं बसी रहेगी, यरूशलेम में।।

6. In that day I will make the captains of Judah like a hearth of fire among the wood and like a torch of fire among [the] sheaves; and they shall devour all the peoples round about, on the right hand and on the left; and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place, [even] in Jerusalem.

7. और हे यहोवा पहिले यहूदा के तम्बुओं का उद्धार करेगा, कहीं ऐसा न हो कि दाऊद का घराना और यरूशलेम के निवासी अपने अपने विभव के कारण यहूदा के विरूद्ध बढ़ाई मारें।

7. And the LORD shall keep the tents of Judah [as] in the beginning, so that the glory of the house of David and of the inhabitants of Jerusalem shall not [cause those of] Judah to magnify [themselves].

8. उस समय यहोवा यरूशलेम के निवासियों को मानो ढाल से बचा लेगा, और उस सकय उन में से जो ठोकर खानेवाला हो वह दाऊद के समान होगा; और दाऊद का घराना परमेश्वर के समान होगा, अर्थात् यहोवा के उस दूत के समान जो उनके आगे आगे चलता था।

8. In that day the LORD shall defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is weak among them in that time shall be as David; and the house of David [shall be] as God, as the angel of the LORD before them.

9. और उस समय मैं उन सब जातियों को नाश करने का यत्न करूंगा जो यरूशलेम पर चढ़ाई करेंगी।।

9. And it shall come to pass in that day [that] I will seek to destroy all the Gentiles that come against Jerusalem.

10. और मैं दाऊद के घराने और यरूशलेम के निवासियों पर अपना अनुग्रह करनेवाली और प्रार्थना सिखानेवाली आत्मा उण्डेलूंगा, तब वे मुझे ताकेंगे अर्थात् जिसे उन्हों ने बेधा है, और उसके लिये ऐसे रोएंगे जैसे एकलौते पुत्रा के लिये रोते- पीटते हैं, और ऐसा भारी शोक करेंगे, जैसा पहिलौठे के लिये करते हैं।

10. And I will pour upon the house of David and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem [the] Spirit of grace and of prayer, and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn over him as one mourns for [his] only [son], afflicting themselves over him as one afflicts himself over [his] firstborn.

11. उस समय यरूशलेम में इतना रोना- पीटना होगा जैसा मगिद्दॊन की तराई में हदद्रिम्मोन में हुआ था।

11. In that day there shall be a great mourning in Jerusalem as the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon.

12. सारे देश में विलाप होगा, हर एक परिवार में अलग अलग; अर्थात् दाऊद के घराने का परिवार अलग, और उनकी स्त्रियां अलग; नातान के घराने का परिवार अलग, और उनकी स्त्रियां अलग;

12. And the land shall mourn, each family apart; the family of the house of David apart, and their wives apart; the family of the house of Nathan apart, and their wives apart;

13. लेवी के घराने का परिवार अलग और उनकी स्त्रियां अलग; शिमियों का परिवार अलग; और उनकी स्त्रियां अलग;

13. the family of the house of Levi apart, and their wives apart; the family of Shimei apart, and their wives apart;

14. और जितने परिवार रह गए हों हर एक परिवार अलग और उनकी स्त्रियां भी अलग अलग;

14. all the families that remain, every family apart, and their wives apart.:
