1. ग्यारहवें वर्ष के तीसरे महीने के पहिले दिन को यहोवा का यह वचन मेरे पास पहुंचा,

2. हे मनुष्य के सन्तान, मिस्र के राजा फिरौन और उसकी भीड़ से कह, अपनी बड़ाई में तू िकिस के समान है।

2. and he seide, Thou, sone of man, seie to Farao, kyng of Egipt, and to his puple, To whom art thou maad lijk in thi greetnesse?

3. देख, अश्शूर तो लबानोन का एक देवदार था जिसकी सुन्दर सुन्दर शाखें, घनी छाया देतीं और बड़ी ऊंची थीं, और उसकी फुनगी बादलों तक पहुंचती थी।

3. Lo! Assur as a cedre in Liban, fair in braunchis, and ful of boowis, and hiy bi hiynesse; and his heiyte was reisid among thicke bowis.

4. जल ने उसे बढ़ाया, उस गहिरे जल के कारण वह ऊंचा हुआ, जिस से नदियां उसके स्थान के चारों ओर बहती थीं, और उसकी नालियां निकलकर मैदान के सारे वृक्षों के पास पहुंचती थीं।

4. Watris nurschiden hym, the depthe of watris enhaunside him; hise floodis fletiden out in the cumpas of hise rootis, and he sente out hise strondis to alle the trees of the cuntrei.

5. इस कारण उसकी ऊंचाई मैदान के सब वृक्षों से अधिक हुई; उसकी टहनियां बहुत हुई, और उसकी शाखाएं लम्बी हो गई, क्योंकि जब वे निकलीं, तब उनको बहुत जल मिला।

5. Therfor his hiynesse was enhaunsid ouer alle trees of the cuntrei, and hise trees weren multiplied, and hise braunchis weren reisid, for many watris.

6. उसकी टहनियों में आकाश के सब प्रकार के पक्षी बसेरा करते थे, और उसकी शाखाओं के नीचे मैदान के सब भांति के जीवजन्तु जन्मते थे; और उसकी छाया में सब बड़ी जातियां रहती थीं।

6. And whanne he hadde stretchid forth his schadewe, alle the volatils of the eir maden nestis in hise braunchis; and alle the beestis of forestis gendriden vndur hise boowis, and the cumpeny of ful many folkis dwellide vndur the schadewynge place of hym.

7. वह अपनी बड़ाई और अपनी डालियों की लम्बाई के कारण सुन्दर हुआ; क्योंकि उसकी जड़ बहुत जल के निकट थी।

7. And he was ful fair in his greetnesse, and in alargyng of hise trees; for the roote of hym was bisidis many watris.

8. परमेश्वर की बारी के देवदार भी उसको न छिपा सकते थे, सनौबर उसकी टहनियों के समान भी न थे, और न अम न वृक्ष उसकी शाखाओं के तुल्य थे; परमेश्वर की बारी का भी कोई वृक्ष सुन्दरता में उसके बराबर न था।

9. मैं ने उसे डालियों की बहुतायत से सुन्दर बनाया था, यहां तक कि एदेन के सब वृक्ष जो परमेश्वर की बारी में थे, उस से डाह करते थे।

9. For Y made hym fair, and with many and thicke boowis; and alle the trees of lust, that weren in the paradijs of God, hadden enuye to hym.

10. इस कारण परमेश्वर यहोवा ने यों कहा है, उसकी ऊंचाई जो बढ़ गई, और उसकी फुनगी जो बादलों तक पहुंची है, और अपनी ऊंचाई के कारण उसका मन जो फूल उठा है,

10. Therfor the Lord God seith these thingis, For that that he was reisid in hiynesse, and he yaf his hyynesse greene and thicke, and his herte was reisid in his hiynesse;

11. इसलिये जातियों में जो सामथ है, मैं उसी के हाथ उसको कर दूंगा, और वह निश्चय उस से बुरा व्यवहार करेगा। उसकी दुष्टता के कारण मैं ने उसको निकाल दिया है।

11. now Y haue youe hym in to the hondis of the strongeste man of hethene men. And he doynge schal do to that Assur; aftir the vnfeithfulnesse of hym Y castide hym out.

12. परदेशी, जो जातियों में भयानक लोग हैं, वे उसको काटकर छोड़ देंगे, उसकी डालियां पहाड़ों पर, और सब तराइयों में गिराई जाएंगी, और उसकी शाखाएं देश के सब नालों में टूटी पड़ी रहेंगी, और जाति जाति के सब लोग उसकी छाया को छोड़कर चले जाएंगे।

12. And aliens, and the moost cruel men of naciouns, schulen kitte hym doun, and schulen caste hym forth on hillis. And hise braunchis schulen falle doun in alle grete valeis, and hise trees schulen be brokun in alle roochis of stoon of erthe. And alle the puplis of erthe schulen go awei fro his schadewing place, and schulen forsake hym.

13. उस गिरे हुए वृक्ष पर आकाश के सब पक्षी बसेरा करते हैं, और उसकी शाखाओं के ऊपर मैदान के सब जीवजन्तु चढ़ने पाते हैं।

13. Alle volatils of the eir dwelliden in the fallyng of hym, and alle beestis of the cuntrei weren in the braunchis of hym.

14. यह इसलिये हुआ है कि जल के पास के सब वृक्षों में से कोई अपनी ऊंचाई न बढ़ाए, न अपनी फुनगी को बादलों तक पहुंचाए, और उन में से जितने जल पाकर दृढ़ हो गए हैं वे ऊंचे होने के कारण सिर न उठाएं; क्योंकि वे भी सब के सब कबर में गड़े हुए मनुष्यों के समान मृत्यु के वश करके अधोलोक में डाल दिए जाएंगे।

14. Wherfor alle the trees of watris schulen not be reisid in hir hiynesse, nether schulen sette hir hiynesse among places ful of woode, and ful of boowis, and alle trees that ben moistid of watris schulen not stonde in the hiynesse of tho. For alle thei ben youun in to deth, to the ferthest lond in the myddis of the sones of men, to hem that goon doun in to the lake.

15. परमेश्वर यहोवा यों कहता है, जिस दिन वह अधोलोक में उतर गया, उस दिन मैं ने विलाप कराया और गहिरे समुद्र को ढांप दिया, और नदियों का बहुत जल रूक गया; और उसके कारण मैं ने लबानोन पर उदासी छा दी, और मैदान के सब वृक्ष मूर्छित हुए।

15. The Lord God seith these thingis, In the dai whanne he yede doun to hellis, Y brouyte yn mourenyng; Y hilide hym with depthe of watris, and I forbede his flodis, and Y refreynede many watris. The Liban was sori on him, and alle the trees of the feeld

16. जब मैं ने उसको कबर में गड़े हुओं के पास अधोलोक में फेंक दिया, तब उसके गिरने के शब्द से जाति जाति थरथरा गई, और एदेन के सब वृक्ष अर्थात् लबानोन के उत्तम उत्तम वृक्षों ने, जितने उस से जल पाते हैं, उन सभों ने अधोलोक में शान्ति पाई।

16. weren shakun of the soun of his falling. I mouide togidere hethene men, whanne Y ledde hym doun to helle, with hem that yeden doun in to the lake. And alle trees of likyng, noble trees, and ful cleere in the Liban, alle that weren moistid with watris, weren coumfortid in the loweste lond.

17. वे भी उसके संग तलवार से मारे हुओं के पास अधोलोक में उतर गए; अर्थात् वे जो उसकी भुजा थे, और जाति जाति के बीच उसकी छाया में रहते थे।

17. For whi also thei schulen go doun with hym to helle, to slayn men with swerd; and the arm of ech man schal sitte vndur the schadewyng place of hym, in the myddis of naciouns.

18. सो महिमा और बड़ाई के विषय में एदेन के वृक्षों में से तू किस के समान है? तू तो एदेन के और वृक्षों के साथ अधोलोक में उतारा जाएगा, और खतनाहीन लोगों के बीच तलवार से मारे हुओं के संग पड़ा रहेगा। फिरौन अपनी सारी भेड़- भाड़ समेत यों ही होगा, परमेश्वर यहोवा की यही वाणी है।

18. To whom art thou licned, thou noble and hiy among the trees of likyng? Lo! thou art led doun with the trees of likyng to the fertheste lond. In the myddis of vncircumcidid men thou schalt slepe, with hem that ben slayn bi swerd. Thilke is Farao, and al the multitude of hym, seith the Lord God.
