1. ग्यारहवें वर्ष के तीसरे महीने के पहिले दिन को यहोवा का यह वचन मेरे पास पहुंचा,

1. And in the eleuenth yeere, in the third moneth, and in the first day of the moneth the worde of the Lord came vnto me, saying,

2. हे मनुष्य के सन्तान, मिस्र के राजा फिरौन और उसकी भीड़ से कह, अपनी बड़ाई में तू िकिस के समान है।

2. Sonne of man, speake vnto Pharaoh King of Egypt, and to his multitude, Whom art thou like in thy greatnesse?

3. देख, अश्शूर तो लबानोन का एक देवदार था जिसकी सुन्दर सुन्दर शाखें, घनी छाया देतीं और बड़ी ऊंची थीं, और उसकी फुनगी बादलों तक पहुंचती थी।

3. Beholde, Asshur was like a cedar in Lebanon with faire branches, and with thicke shadowing boughes, and shot vp very hye, and his toppe was among the thicke boughes.

4. जल ने उसे बढ़ाया, उस गहिरे जल के कारण वह ऊंचा हुआ, जिस से नदियां उसके स्थान के चारों ओर बहती थीं, और उसकी नालियां निकलकर मैदान के सारे वृक्षों के पास पहुंचती थीं।

4. The waters nourished him, and the deepe exalted him on hie with her riuers running round about his plants, and sent out her litle riuers vnto all the trees of the fielde.

5. इस कारण उसकी ऊंचाई मैदान के सब वृक्षों से अधिक हुई; उसकी टहनियां बहुत हुई, और उसकी शाखाएं लम्बी हो गई, क्योंकि जब वे निकलीं, तब उनको बहुत जल मिला।

5. Therefore his height was exalted aboue all the trees of the fielde, and his boughes were multiplied, and his branches were long, because of the multitude of the waters, which the deepe sent out.

6. उसकी टहनियों में आकाश के सब प्रकार के पक्षी बसेरा करते थे, और उसकी शाखाओं के नीचे मैदान के सब भांति के जीवजन्तु जन्मते थे; और उसकी छाया में सब बड़ी जातियां रहती थीं।

6. All the foules of the heauen made their nestes in his boughes, and vnder his branches did all the beastes of the fielde bring foorth their yong, and vnder his shadowe dwelt all mightie nations.

7. वह अपनी बड़ाई और अपनी डालियों की लम्बाई के कारण सुन्दर हुआ; क्योंकि उसकी जड़ बहुत जल के निकट थी।

7. Thus was he faire in his greatnesse, and in the length of his branches: for his roote was neere great waters.

8. परमेश्वर की बारी के देवदार भी उसको न छिपा सकते थे, सनौबर उसकी टहनियों के समान भी न थे, और न अम न वृक्ष उसकी शाखाओं के तुल्य थे; परमेश्वर की बारी का भी कोई वृक्ष सुन्दरता में उसके बराबर न था।

8. The cedars in the garden of God coulde not hide him: no firre tree was like his branches, and the chessenut trees were not like his boughes: all the trees in the garden of God were not like vnto him in his beautie.

9. मैं ने उसे डालियों की बहुतायत से सुन्दर बनाया था, यहां तक कि एदेन के सब वृक्ष जो परमेश्वर की बारी में थे, उस से डाह करते थे।

9. I made him faire by the multitude of his branches: so that all the trees of Eden, that were in the garden of God, enuied him.

10. इस कारण परमेश्वर यहोवा ने यों कहा है, उसकी ऊंचाई जो बढ़ गई, और उसकी फुनगी जो बादलों तक पहुंची है, और अपनी ऊंचाई के कारण उसका मन जो फूल उठा है,

10. Therefore thus sayeth the Lord God, Because he is lift vp on high, and hath shot vp his toppe among the thicke boughes, and his heart is lift vp in his height,

11. इसलिये जातियों में जो सामथ है, मैं उसी के हाथ उसको कर दूंगा, और वह निश्चय उस से बुरा व्यवहार करेगा। उसकी दुष्टता के कारण मैं ने उसको निकाल दिया है।

11. I haue therefore deliuered him into the handes of the mightiest among the heathen: he shall handle him, for I haue cast him away for his wickednesse.

12. परदेशी, जो जातियों में भयानक लोग हैं, वे उसको काटकर छोड़ देंगे, उसकी डालियां पहाड़ों पर, और सब तराइयों में गिराई जाएंगी, और उसकी शाखाएं देश के सब नालों में टूटी पड़ी रहेंगी, और जाति जाति के सब लोग उसकी छाया को छोड़कर चले जाएंगे।

12. And the strangers haue destroyed him, euen the terrible nations, and they haue left him vpon the mountaines, and in all the valleis his branches are fallen, and his boughes are broken by all the riuers of the land: and all the people of the earth are departed from his shadowe, and haue forsaken him.

13. उस गिरे हुए वृक्ष पर आकाश के सब पक्षी बसेरा करते हैं, और उसकी शाखाओं के ऊपर मैदान के सब जीवजन्तु चढ़ने पाते हैं।

13. Vpon his ruine shall all the foules of the heauen remaine, and all the beastes of the fielde shall be vpon his branches,

14. यह इसलिये हुआ है कि जल के पास के सब वृक्षों में से कोई अपनी ऊंचाई न बढ़ाए, न अपनी फुनगी को बादलों तक पहुंचाए, और उन में से जितने जल पाकर दृढ़ हो गए हैं वे ऊंचे होने के कारण सिर न उठाएं; क्योंकि वे भी सब के सब कबर में गड़े हुए मनुष्यों के समान मृत्यु के वश करके अधोलोक में डाल दिए जाएंगे।

14. So that none of all the trees by the waters shalbe exalted by their height, neither shall shoote vp their toppe among the thicke boughes, neither shall their leaues stand vp in their height, which drinke so much water: for they are all deliuered vnto death in the nether partes of the earth in the middes of the children of men among them that goe downe to the pit.

15. परमेश्वर यहोवा यों कहता है, जिस दिन वह अधोलोक में उतर गया, उस दिन मैं ने विलाप कराया और गहिरे समुद्र को ढांप दिया, और नदियों का बहुत जल रूक गया; और उसके कारण मैं ने लबानोन पर उदासी छा दी, और मैदान के सब वृक्ष मूर्छित हुए।

15. Thus saith the Lord God, In the day when he went downe to hell, I caused them to mourne, and I couered the deepe for him, and I did restreine the floods thereof, and the great waters were stayed: I caused Lebanon to mourne for him, and all the trees of the fielde fainted.

16. जब मैं ने उसको कबर में गड़े हुओं के पास अधोलोक में फेंक दिया, तब उसके गिरने के शब्द से जाति जाति थरथरा गई, और एदेन के सब वृक्ष अर्थात् लबानोन के उत्तम उत्तम वृक्षों ने, जितने उस से जल पाते हैं, उन सभों ने अधोलोक में शान्ति पाई।

16. I made the nations to shake at the sound of his fall, when I cast him downe to hell with them that descend into the pit, and all the excellent trees of Eden, and the best of Lebanon: euen all that are nourished with waters, shall be comforted in the nether partes of the earth.

17. वे भी उसके संग तलवार से मारे हुओं के पास अधोलोक में उतर गए; अर्थात् वे जो उसकी भुजा थे, और जाति जाति के बीच उसकी छाया में रहते थे।

17. They also went downe to hell with him vnto them that be slaine with the sworde, and his arme, and they that dwelt vnder his shadowe in the middes of the heathen.

18. सो महिमा और बड़ाई के विषय में एदेन के वृक्षों में से तू किस के समान है? तू तो एदेन के और वृक्षों के साथ अधोलोक में उतारा जाएगा, और खतनाहीन लोगों के बीच तलवार से मारे हुओं के संग पड़ा रहेगा। फिरौन अपनी सारी भेड़- भाड़ समेत यों ही होगा, परमेश्वर यहोवा की यही वाणी है।

18. To whom art thou thus like in glorie and in greatnesse among the trees of Eden? yet thou shalt be cast downe with the trees of Eden vnto the nether partes of the earth: thou shalt sleepe in the middes of the vncircumcised, with them that be slaine by the sworde: this is Pharaoh and all his multitude, sayth the Lord God.
