1. फिर इस्राएल के कितने पुरनिये मेरे पास आकर मेरे साम्हने बैठ गए।

1. Then came there unto me men, of the elders of Israel, and sat before me

2. तब यहोवा का यह वचन मेरे पास पहुंचा,

2. And the word of Yahweh came unto me, saying:

3. हे मनुष्य के सन्तान, इन पुरूषों ने तो अपनी मूरतें अपने मन में स्थापित कीं, और अपने अधर्म की ठोकर अपने साम्हने रखी है; फिर क्या वे मुझ से कुछ भी पूछने पाएंगे?

3. Son of man These men have brought up their manufactured gods upon their hear, And their stumbling-block of iniquity, have they set straight before their face, Shall I be at all enquired of by them?

4. सो तू उन से कह, प्रभु यहोवा यों कहता है, कि इस्राएल के घराने में से जो कोई अपनी मूरतें अपने मन में स्थापित करके, और अपने अधर्म की ठोकर अपने साम्हने रखकर भविष्यद्वक्ता के पास आए, उसको, मैं यहोवा, उसकी बहुत सी मूरतों के अनुसार ही उत्तर दूंगा,

4. Therefore speak unto them and say unto them, Thus, saith My Lord, Yahweh, Any man whatsoever of the house of Israel Who shall bring up his manufactured gods upon his heart, And set his stumbling, block of iniquity, straight before his face, And then some in unto the prophet. Yahweh, have myself answered him thereby. By the multitude of his manufactured gods:

5. जिस से इस्राएल का घराना, जो अपनी मूरतों के द्वारा मुझे त्यागकर दूर हो गया है, उन्हें मैं उन्हीं के मन के द्वारा फंसाऊंगा।

5. To the end the house of Israel may be taken by their own hearts, in that they have estranged themselves from me, through their manufactured gods all of them!

6. सो इस्राएल के घराने से कह, प्रभु यहोवा यों कहता हे, फिरो और अपनी मूरतों को पीठ के पीछे करो; और अपने सब घृणित कामों से मुंह मोड़ो।

6. Therefore say thou unto the house of Israel Thus saith My Lord. Yahweh, Turn ye and make good your return from your manufactured gods; And from all your abominations:, make good the turning away of your faces.

7. क्योंकि इस्राएल के घराने में से और उसके बीच रहनेवाले परदेशियों में से भी कोई क्यों न हो, जो मेरे पीछे हो लेना छोड़कर अपनी मूरतें अपने मन में स्थापित करे, और अपने अधर्म की ठोकर अपने साम्हने रखे, और तब मुझ से अपनी कोई बात पूछने के लिये भविष्यद्वक्ता के पास आए, तो उसको, मैं यहोवा आप ही उत्तर दूंगा।

7. For what man soever of the house of Israel Or of the sojourners who sojourn in Israel, Who shall estrange himself from following me And who shall bring up his manufactured gods, on his heart, And whose stumbling-block of iniquity, he shall set straight before his face, And then come in unto the prophet, to enquire by him of me. Yahweh will myself answer him on my own account;

8. और मैं उस मनुष्य के विरूद्ध होकर उसको विस्मित करूंगा, और चिन्ह ठहराऊंगा; और उसकी कहावत चनाऊंगा और उसे अपनी प्रजा में से नाश करूंगा; तब तुम लोग जान लोगे कि मैं यहोवा हूँ।

8. And will set my face against that man And will make of him a sign and a proverb, And will cut him off out of the midst of my people: So shall ye know that, I, am Yahweh.

9. और यदि भविष्यद्वक्ता ने धोखा खाकर कोई वचन कहा हो, तो जानो कि मुझ यहोवा ने उस भविष्यद्वक्ता को धोखा दिया है; और मैं अपना हाथ उसके विरूद्ध बढ़ाकर उसे अपनी प्रजा इस्राएल में से नाश करूंगा।

9. Yea the prophet himself when he suffereth himself to be deceived, and speaketh a word, Yahweh have suffered that prophet to be deceived, Then will I stretch forth my hand against him, and destroy him out of the midst of my people. Israel:

10. वे सब लोग अपने अपने अधर्म का बोझ उठाएंगे, अर्थात् जैसा भविष्यद्वक्ता से पूछनेवाले का अधर्म ठहरेगा, वैसा ही भविष्यद्वक्ता का भी अधर्म ठहरेगा।

10. So shall they bear their punishment, As the punishment of him that enquireth, So shall the punishment of the prophet be:

11. ताकि इस्राएल का घराना आगे को मेरे पीछे हो लेना न छोड़े और न अपने भांति भांति के अपराधों के द्वारा आगे को अशुठ्ठ बने; वरन वे मेरी प्रजा बनें और मैं उनका परमेश्वर ठहरूं, प्रभु यहोवा की यही आणी है।

11. That the house of Israel may no more go astray from following me, And no more defile themselves by any of their transgressions, But may become my people, and I, may become their God, Declareth My Lord Yahweh.

12. और यहोवा का यह वचन मेरे पास महुंचा,

12. And the word of Yahweh came unto me saying:

13. हे मनुष्य के सन्तान, जब किसी देश के लोग मुझ से विश्वासघात करके पापी हो जाएं, और मैं अपना हाथ उस देश के विरूद्ध बढ़ाकर उसका अन्नरूपी आधार दूर करूं, और उस में अकाल डालकर उस में से मनुष्य और पशु दोनों को नाश करूं,

13. Son of man, When a land, shall sin against me by committing treachery, and I shall stretch out my hand against it, And break for it the staff of bread, And send thereon famine, And cut off therefrom man and beast,

14. तब चाहे उस में नूह, दानिरयेल और अरयूब ये तीनों पुरूष हों, तौभी वे अपने धर्म के द्वारा केवल अपने ही प्राणों को बचा सकेंगे; प्रभु यहोवा की यही वाणी हे।

14. Then should these three men be in the midst thereof, Noah, Daniel, and Job, they by their righteousness should deliver their own lives Declareth My Lord, Yahweh.

15. यदि मैं किसी देश में दुष्ट जन्तु भेजूं जो उसको निर्जन करके उजाड़ कर डालें, और जन्तुओं के कारण कोई उस में होकर न जाएं,

15. If a mischievous wild beast, I suffer to pass through the land, and that beast bereave it, so that it become too desolate for any man to pass through, by reason of the wild beast,

16. तो चाहे उसे में वे तीन पुरूष हों, तौभी प्रभु यहोवा की यह वाणी है, मेरे जीवन की सौगन्ध, न वे पुत्रों को ओर न पुत्रियों को बचा सकेंगे; वे ही अकेले बचेंगे; परन्तु देश उजाड़ हो जाएगा।

16. Were these three men in the midst thereof, As I live, Declareth My Lord Yahweh, Surely neither sons nor daughters, should they deliver, They alone should be delivered, But the land, should become a desolation.

17. और यदि मैं उस देश पर तलवार खीचकर कहूं, हे तलवार उस देश में चल; और इस रीति मैं उस में से मनुष्य और पशु नाश करूं,

17. Or, a sword, I should bring upon that land, and should say. O sword! thou shalt go through the land, and so I should cut off therefrom, man and beast,

18. तब चाहे उस में वे तीन पुरूष भी हों, तौभी प्रभु यहोवा की यह वाणी है, मेरे जीवन की सौगन्ध, न तो वे पुत्रों को और न पुत्रियों को बचा सकेंगे, वे ही अकेले बचेंगे।

18. Were these three men in the midst thereof, As I live! Saith My Lord Yahweh, They should deliver neither sons nor daughters, For they alone, should be delivered.

19. यदि मैं उस देश में मरी फैलाऊं और उस पर अपनी जलजलाहट भड़काकर उसका लोहू ऐसा बहाऊं कि वहां के मनुष्य और पशु दोनों नाश हों,

19. Or pestilence, I, should send into that land, and should pour out mine indignation thereon in blood, to cut off therefrom man and beast

20. तो चाहे नूह, दानिरयेल और अरयूब भी उस में हों, तौभी, प्रभु यहोवा की यह वाणी है, मेरे जीवन की सौगन्ध, वे न पुत्रों को और न पुत्रियों को बचा सकेंगे, अपने धर्म के द्वारा वे केवल अपने ही प्राणों को बचा सकेंगे।

20. Were Noah, Daniel and Job n the midst thereof, As I live, Declareth My Lord Yahweh, Surely neither son nor daughter, should they deliver, They, by their righteousness should deliver only their own lives.

21. क्योंकि प्रभु यहोवा यों कहता है, मैं यरूशलेम पर अपने चारों दण्ड पहुंचाऊंगा, अर्थात् तलवार, अकाल, दुष्ट जन्तु और मरी, जिन से मनुष्य और पशु सब उस में से नाश हों।
प्रकाशितवाक्य 6:8

21. For thus, saith My Lord Yahweh, How much less should they avail when my four calamitous judgments, sword and famine and mischievous wild beast and pestilence I have sent against Jerusalem, to cut off therefrom man and beast?

22. तौभी उस में थोड़े से पुत्रा- पुत्रियां बचेंगी जो वहां से निकालकर तुम्हारे पास पहुंचाई जाएंगी, और तुम उनके चालचलन और कामों को देखकर उस विपत्ति के विषय में जो मैं यरूशलेम पर डालूंगा, वरन जितनी विपत्ति मैं उस पर डालूंगा, उस सब के विषय में शान्ति पाओगे।

22. Yet lo! there hath been left therein remnant of fugitives to be brought forth sons and daughters There they are! coming forth unto you, And so ye shall see their way, and their doings, and be consoled over the calamity which I have brought in upon Jerusalem even all that I have brought in upon her.

23. जब तुम उनका चालचलन और काम देखो, तब वे तुम्हारी शान्ति के कारण होंगे; और तुम जान लोगे कि मैं ने यरूशलेम में जो कुछ किया, वह बिना कारण नहीं किया, प्रभु यहोवा की यही वाणी हैं

23. Yea they shall console you, when ye see their way and their doings, So shall ye know that not without cause, have I done, anything that I have done with her, Declareth My Lord Yahweh.
