1. योशिरयाह के पुत्रा यहूदा के राजा यहोयाकीम के राज्य में यहोवा की ओर से यह वचन यिर्मयाह के पास पहुंचा२

1. The word that was maad of the Lord to Jeremye, in the daies of Joachym, sone of Josie,

2. रेकाबियों के घराने के पास जाकर उन से बातें कर और उन्हें यहोवा के भवन की एक कोठरी में ले जाकर दाखमधु पिला।

2. kyng of Juda, and seide, Go thou to the hous of Recabitis, and speke thou to hem; and thou schalt brynge hem in to the hous of the Lord, in to o chaumbre of tresouris, and thou schalt yyue to hem to drynke wyn.

3. तब मैं ने याजन्याह को जो हबस्सिन्याह का पोता और यिर्मयाह का पुत्रा था, और उसके भाइयों और सब पुत्रों को, निदान रेकाबियों के सारे घराने को साथ लिया।

3. And Y took Jeconye, the sone of Jeremye, sone of Absanye, and hise britheren, and alle the sones of hym, and al the hous of Recabitis.

4. और मैं उनको परमेश्वर के भवन में, यिग्दल्याह के पुत्रा हानान, जो परमेश्वर का एक जन थ, उसकी कोठरी में ले आया जो हाकिमों की उस कोठरी के पास थी और शल्लूम के प्रत्रा डेवढ़ी के रखवाले मासेयाह की कोठरी के ऊपर थी।

4. And Y ledde hem in to the hous of the Lord, to the treserie of the sones of Eman, sone of Godolie, the man of God; which treserie was bisidis the treserie of princes, aboue the tresour of Maasie, sone of Sellum, that was kepere of the vestiarie.

5. तब मैं ने रेकाबियों के घराने को दाखमधु से भरे हुए हंडे और कटोरे देकर कहा, दाखमधु पीओ।

5. And Y settide bifore the sones of the hous of Recabitis pecis, and grete cowpis ful of wyn; and Y seide to hem, Drinke ye wyn.

6. उन्हों ने कहा, हम दाखमधु न पीएंगे क्योंकि रेकाब के पुत्रा योनादाब ने जो हमारा पुरखा था हम को यह आज्ञा दी थी कि तुम कभी दाखमधु न पीना; न तुम, न तुम्हारे पुत्रा।

6. And thei answeriden, We schulen not drinke wyn; for whi Jonadab, oure fadir, the sone of Recab, comaundide to vs, and seide, Ye schulen not drinke wyn, ye and youre sones, `til in to withouten ende;

7. न घर बनाना, न बीज बोना, न दाख की बारी लगाना, और न उनके अधिकारी होना; परन्तु जीवन भर तम्बुओं ही में रहना जिस से जिस देश में तुम परदेशी हो, उस में बहुत दिन तक जीते रहो।

7. and ye schulen not bilde an hous, and ye schulen not sowe seed, and ye schulen not plaunte vynes, nether schulen haue, but ye schulen dwelle in tabernaclis in alle youre daies, that ye lyue many daies on the face of erthe, in which ye goen in pilgrymage.

8. इसलिये हम रेकाब के पुत्रा अपने पुरखा योनादाब की बात मानकर, उसकी सारी आज्ञाओं के अनुसार चलते हैं, न हम और न हमारी स्त्रियां वा पुत्रा- पुत्रियां कभी दाख मधु पीती हैं,

8. Therfor we obeieden to the vois of Jonadab, oure fadir, the sone of Recab, in alle thingis whiche he comaundide to vs; so that we drunken not wyn in alle oure dayes, we, and oure wymmen, oure sones, and douytris;

9. और न हम घर बनाकर उन में रहते हैं। हम न दाख की बारी, न खेत, और न बीज रखते हैं;

9. and we bildiden not housis to dwelle, and we hadden not a vyner, and a feeld, and seed;

10. हम तम्बुओं ही में रहा करते हैं, और अपने पुरखा योनादाब की बात मानकर उसकी सारी आज्ञाओं के अनुसार काम करते हैं।

10. but we dwelliden in tabernaclis, and weren obeiynge, and diden bi alle thingis, whiche Jonadab, oure fadir, comaundide to vs.

11. परन्तु जब बाबुल के राजा नबूकदनेस्सर ने इस देश पर चढ़ाई की, तब हम ने कहा, चलो, कसदियों और अरामियों के दलों के डर के मारे यरूशलेम में जाएं। इस कारण हम अब यरूशलेम में रहते हैं।

11. But whanne Nabugodonosor, kyng of Babiloyne, hadde stied to this lond, we seiden, Come ye, and entre we in to Jerusalem, fro the face of the oost of Caldeis, and fro the face of the oost of Sirie; and we dwelliden in Jerusalem.

12. तब यहोवा का यह वचन यिर्मयाह के पास पहुंचा।

12. And the word of the Lord was maad to Jeremye,

13. इस्राएल का परमेश्वर सेनाओं का यहोवा यों कहता है कि जाकर यहूदा देश के लोगों और यरूशलेम नगर के निवासियों से कह, यहोवा की यह वाणी है, क्या तुम शिक्षा मानकर मेरी न सुदोगे?

13. and seide, The Lord of oostis, God of Israel, seith these thingis, Go thou, and seie to the men of Juda, and to the dwelleris of Jerusalem, Whether ye schulen not take techyng, that ye obeie to my wordis, seith the Lord?

14. देखो, रेकाब के पुत्रा योनादाब ने जो आज्ञा अपने वंश को दी थी कि तुम दाखमधु न पीना सो तो मानी गई है यहां तक कि आज के दिन भी वे लोग कुछ नहीं पीते, वे अपने पुरखा की आज्ञा मानते हैं; पर यद्यपि मैं तुम से बड़े यत्न से कहता आया हूँ, तैभी तुम ने मेरी नहीं सुनी।

14. The wordis of Jonadab, sone of Rechab, hadden the maistrie, whiche he comaundide to hise sones, that thei schulden not drynke wyn; and thei drynken not, `til to this dai; for thei obeieden to the comaundement of her fadir; but Y spak to you, and Y roos ful eerli, and spake, and ye obeieden not to me.

15. मैं तुम्हारे पास अपने सारे दास नबियों को बड़ा यत्न करके यह कहने को भेजता आया हूँ कि अपनी बुरी चाल से फिरो, और अपने काम सुधारो, और दूसरे देवताओं के पीछे जाकर उनकी उपासना मत करो तब ुतुम इस देश में जो मैं ने तुम्हारे पितरों को दिया था और तुम को भी दिया है, बसने पाओगे। पर तुम ने मेरी ओर कान नहीं लगाया न मेरी सुनी है।

15. And Y sente to you alle my seruauntis profetis, and Y roos ful eerli, and Y sente, and seide, Be ye conuertid, ech man fro his worste weye, and make ye good youre studies, and nyle ye sue alien goddis, nether worschipe ye hem, and ye schulen dwelle in the lond, which Y yaf to you, and to youre fadris; and ye bowiden not youre eere, nether herden me.

16. देखो रेकाब के पुत्रा योनादाब के वंश ने तो अपने पुरखा की आज्ञा को मान लिया पर तुम ने मेरी नहीं सुनी।

16. Therfor the sones of Jonadab, sone of Recab, maden stidfast the comaundement of her fadir, which he comaundide to hem; but this puple obeiede not to me.

17. इसलिये सेनाओं का परमेश्वर यहोवा, जो इस्राएल का परमेश्वर है, यों कहता है कि देखो, यहूदा देश और यरूशलेम नगर के सारे निवासियों पर जितनी विपत्ति डालने की मैं ने चर्चा की है वह उन पर अब डालता हूँ; क्योंकि मैं ने उनको सुनाया पर उन्हों ने नहीं सुना, मैं ने उनको बुलाया पर उन्हों ने उत्तर न दिया।

17. Therfor the Lord of oostis, God of Israel, seith these thingis, Lo! Y schal bringe on Juda, and on alle the dwelleris of Jerusalem, al the turment which Y spak ayens hem; for Y spak to hem, and thei herden not; Y clepide hem, and thei answeriden not to me.

18. और रेकाबियों के घराने से यिर्मयाह ने कहा, इस्राएल का परमेश्वर सेनाओं का यहोवा तुम से यों कहता है, इसलिये कि तुम ने जो अपने पुरखा योनादाब की आज्ञा मानी, वरन उसकी सब आज्ञाओं को मान लिया और जो कुछ उस ने कहा उसके अनुसार काम किया है,

18. Forsothe Jeremye seide to the hous of Recabitis, The Lord of oostis, God of Israel, seith these thingis, For that that ye obeieden to the comaundement of Jonadab, youre fadir, and kepten alle hise comaundementis, and diden alle thingis, whiche he comaundide to you;

19. इसलिये इस्राएल का परमेश्वर सेनाओं का यहोवा यों कहता है, रेकाब के पुत्रा योनादाब के वंश में सदा ऐसा जन पाया जाएगा जो मेरे सम्मुख खड़ा रहे।

19. therfor the Lord of oostis, God of Israel, seith these thingis, A man of the generacioun of Jonadab, sone of Recab, schal not faile stondynge in my siyt in alle daies.
