1. परन्तु अब हे मेरे दास याकूब, हे मेरे चुने हुए इस्राएल, सुन ले!

1. So heare now, o Iacob my seruaunt, and Israel whom I haue chose.

2. तेरा कर्त्ता यहोवा, जो तुझे गर्भ ही से बनाता आया और तेरी सहायता करेगा, यों कहता है, हे मेरे दास याकूब, हे मेरे चुने हुए यशूरून, मत डर!

2. For thus saieth the LORDE, that made the, fashioned the, and helped the, euen from thy mothers wombe: Be not afrayde (o Iacob my seruaunte,) thou rightuous, whom I haue chosen.

3. क्योंकि मैं प्यासी भूमि पर जल और सूखी भूमि पर धाराएं बहाऊंगा; मैं तेरे वंश पर अपनी आत्मा और तेरी सन्तान पर अपनी आशीष उण्डेलूंगा।

3. For I shal poure water vpon the drie grounde, and ryuers vpon the thurstie. I shal poure my sprete vpon thi sede, and myne encrease vpo thy stocke.

4. वे उन मजनुओं की नाईं बढ़ेंगे जो धाराओं के पास घास के बीच में होते हैं।

4. They shal growe together, like as the grasse, and as the Willies by the waters side.

5. कोई कहेगा, मैं यहोवा का हूं, कोई अपना नाम याकूब रखेगा, कोई अपने हाथ पर लिखेगा, मैं यहोवा का हूं, और अपना कुलनाम इस्राएली बताएगा।।

5. One will saye: I am the LORDES. Another wil call vnder the name of Iacob. The thirde shal subscrybe with his honde vnto ye LORDE, and geue him self vnder the name of Israel.

6. यहोवा, जो इस्राएल का राजा है, अर्थात् सेनाओं का यहोवा जो उसका छुड़ानेवाला है, वह यों कहता है, मैं सब से पहिला हूं, और मैं ही अन्त तक रहूंगा; मुझे छोड़ कोई परमेश्वर है ही नहीं।

6. Morouer, thus hath the LORDE spoke: euen the kinge of Israel, and his avenger, ye LORDE of hoostes: I am the first, and the last, and without me is there no God.

7. और जब से मैं ने प्राचीनकाल में मनुष्यों को ठहराया, तब से कौन हुआ जो मेरी नाईं उसको प्रचार करे, वा बताए वा मेरे लिये रचे अथवा होनहार बातें पहिले ही से प्रगट करे?

7. For what is he, that euer was like me, which am from euerlastinge? Let him shewe his name and do wherthorow he maye be lickened vnto me. Let him tell you forth planely thiges, that are past and for to come:

8. मत डरो और न भयमान हो; क्या मैं ने प्राचीनकाल ही से ये बातें तुम्हें नहीं सुनाईं और तुम पर प्रगट नहीं कीं? तुम मेरे साक्षी हो। क्या मुझे छोड़ कोई और परमेश्वर है? नहीं, मुझे छोड़ कोई चट्टान नहीं; मैं किसी और को नहीं जानता।।

8. yee and that without eny feare or stoppe. For haue not I euer tolde you hyther to, & warned you? Ye can beare me recorde youre selues. Is there eny God excepte me? or eny maker, that I shulde not knowe him?

9. जो मूरत खोदकर बनाते हैं, वे सब के सब व्यर्थ हैं और जिन वस्तुओं में वे आनन्द ढूंढते उन से कुछ लाभ न होगा; उसके साक्षी, न तो आप कुछ देखते और न कुछ जानते हैं, इसलिये उनको लज्जित होना पड़ेगा।

9. Wherfore all caruers of Idols are but vayne, and their laboure lost. They must beare recorde them selues, that (seinge they can nether se ner vnderstonde) they shalbe confounded.

10. Who shulde now make a god, or fashio an Idol, that is profitable for nothinge?

11. देख, उसके सब संगियों को तो लज्जित होना पड़ेगा, कारीगर तो मनुष्य ही है; वे सब के सब इकट्ठे होकर खड़े हों; वे डर जाएंगे; वे सब के सब लज्जित होंगे।

11. Beholde all the felashippe of the must be brought to confucion. Let all the workmasters of them come and stonde together from amonge men: they must be abashed and confouded one with another.

12. लोहार एक बसूला अंगारों मे बनाता और हथौड़ों से गढ़कर तैयार करता है, अपने भुजबल से वह उसको बनाता है; फिर वह भूखा हो जाता है और उसका बल घटता है, वह पानी नहीं पीता और थक जाता है।

12. The smyth taketh yron, and tempreth it with hote coles, and fashioneth it with hammers, & maketh it wt all the strength of his armes: Yee somtyme he is faynt for very hunger, and so thurstie, that he hath no more power.

13. बढ़ई सूत लगाकर टांकी से रखा करता है और रन्दनी से काम करता और परकार से रेखा खींचता है, वह उसका आकार और मनुष्य की सी सुन्दरता बनाता है ताकि लोग उस घर में रखें।

13. The carpenter (or ymage caruer) taketh me the tymbre, and spredeth forth his lyne: he marketh it with some coloure: he playneth it, he ruleth it, ad squareth it, and maketh it after the ymage of a man, and acordinge to the bewtie of a man: that it maye stonde in the temple.

14. वह देवदार को काटता वा वन के वृक्षों में से जाति जाति के बांजवृक्ष चुनकर सेवता है, वह एक तूस का वृक्ष लगाता है जो वर्षा का जल पाकर बढ़ता है।

14. Morouer, he goeth out to hewe downe Cedre trees: He bringeth home Elmes and okes, and other tymbre of the wodd. Or els the Fyrre trees which he planted himself, ad soch as the rayne hath swelled,

15. तब वह मनुष्य के ईंधन के काम में आता है; वह उस में से कुछ सुलगाकर तापता है, वह उसको जलाकर रोटी बनाता है; उसी से वह देवता भी बनाकर उसको दण्डवत् करता है; वह मूरत खुदवाकर उसके साम्हने प्रणाम करता है।

15. which wodde serueth for me to burne. Of this he taketh and warmeth himself withall: he maketh a fyre of it to bake bred. And after warde maketh a god there of, to honoure it: and an Idol, to knele before it.

16. और उसके बचे हुए भाग को लेकर वह एक देवता अर्थात् एक मूरत उसका एक भाग तो वह आग में जलाता और दूसरे भाग से मांस पकाकर खाता है, वह मांस भूनकर तृप्त होता; फिर तपाकर कहता है, अहा, मैं गर्म हो गया, मैं ने आग देखी है!

16. One pece he burneth in the fyre, with another he rosteth flesh, that he maye eate roste his bely full: with the thirde he warmeth himself, and saieth: Aha: I am well warmed, I haue bene at the fyre.

17. खोदकर बनाता है; तब वह उसके साम्हने प्रणाम और दण्डवत् करता और उस से प्रार्थना करके कहता है, मुझे बचा ले, क्योंकि तू मेरा देवता है। वे कुछ नहीं जानते, न कुछ समझ रखते हैं;

17. And of the residue, he maketh him a god, and an Idol for himself. He kneleth before it, he worshippeth it, he prayeth vnto it, and sayeth: delyuer me, for thou art my god.

18. क्योंकि उनकी आंखें ऐसी मून्दी गई हैं कि वे देख नहीं सकते; और उनकी बुद्धि ऐसी कि वे बूझ नहीं सकते।

18. Yet men nether considre ner vnderstonde, because their eyes are stopped, that they can not se: and their hertes, that they cannot perceaue.

19. कोई इस पर ध्यान नहीं करता, और न किसी को इतना ज्ञान वा समझ रहती है कि कह सके, उसका एक भाग तो मैं ने जला दिया और उसके कोयलों पर रोटी बनाई; और मांस भूनकर खाया है; फिर क्या मैं उसके बचे हुए भाग को घिनौनी वस्तु बनाऊं? क्या मैं काठ को प्रणाम करूं?

19. They pondre not in their myndes (for they haue nether knowlege ner vnderstodinge) to thinke thus: I haue bret one pece in the fyre, I haue baked bred wt ye coles there of, I haue rosted flesh withall, & eaten it: Shal I now of the residue make an abhominacion, and fall downe before a rotten pece of wodd?

20. वह राख खाता है; भरमाई हुई बुद्धि के कारण वह भटकाया गया है और वह न अपने को बचा सकता और न यह कह सकता है, क्या मेरे दहिने हाथ में मिथ्या नहीं?

20. The kepinge of dust, and folishnesse of herte hath turned them a syde: so that none of them can haue a fre conscience to thinke: maye not I erre?

21. हे याकूब, हे इस्राएल, इन बातों को स्मरण कर, तू मेरा दास है, मैं ने तुझे रचा है; हे इस्राएल, तू मेरा दास है, मैं तुझ को न बिसराऊंगा।

21. Cosidre this (o Iacob and Israel) for thou art my seruaut. I haue made the, that thou mightest serue me. O Israel, forget me not.

22. मैं ने तेरे अपराधों को काली घटा के समान और तेरे पापों को बादल के समान मिटा दिया है; मेरी ओर फिर लौट आ, क्योंकि मैं ने तुझे छुड़ा लिया है।।

22. As for thyne offences, I dryue them awaye like the cloudes, and thy synnes as the myst. Turne ye agayne vnto me, & I will delyuer ye.

23. हे आकाश, ऊंचे स्वर से गा, क्योंकि यहोवा ने यह काम किया है; हे पृथ्वी के गहिरे स्थानों, जयजयकार करो; हे पहाड़ों, हे वन, हे वन के सब वृक्षों, गला खोलकर ऊंचे स्वर से गाओ! क्योंकि यहोवा ने याकूब को छुड़ा लिया है और इस्राएल में महिमावान होगा।।

23. Be glad ye heauens, whom the LORDE hath made, let all yt is here beneth vpon the earth, be ioyfull. Reioyse ye mountaynes & woddes, with all the trees that are in you: for ye LORDE shal redeme Iacob, & shewe his glory vpon Israel.

24. यहोवा, तेरा उद्धारकर्त्ता, जो तुझे गर्भ ही से बनाता आया है, यों कहता है, मैं यहोवा ही सब का बनानेवाला हूं जिस ने अकेले ही आकाश को ताना और पृथ्वी को अपनी ही शक्ति से फैलाया है।

24. For thus saieth the LORDE thy redemer, euen he that fashioned the from thy mothers wombe: I am the LORDE, which do all thinges my self alone. I only haue spred out the heauens, and I only haue layde the foundacion of the earth.

25. मैं झूठे लोगों के कहे हुए चिन्हों को व्यर्थ कर देता और भावी कहनेवालों को बावला कर देता हूं; जो बुद्धिमानों को पीछे हटा देता और उनकी पण्डिताई को मूर्खता बनाता हूं;

25. I destroye the tokens of witches, and make the Sothsayers go wronge. As for the wise, I turne them bacward, and make their conninge folishnesse.

26. और अपने दास के वचन को पूरा करता और अपने दूतों की युक्ति को सुफल करता हूं; जो यरूशलेम के विषय कहता है, वह फिर बसाई जाएगी और यहूदा के नगरों के विषय, वे फिर बनाए जाएंगे और मैं उनके खण्डहरों को सुधारूंगा;

26. But I set vp the purpose of my seruauntes, and fulfil the councel of my messaugers. I saye to Ierusale: turne agayne: And to the cities of Iuda, be ye buylded agayne: and I repayre their decayed places.

27. जो गहिरे जल से कहता है, तू सूख जा, मैं तेरी नदियों को सुखाऊंगा;

27. I saye to the grounde: be drie. And I drie vp thy water floudes.

28. जो कु ू के विषय में कहता है, वह मेरा ठहराया हुआ चरवाहा है और मेरी इच्छा पूरी करेगा; यरूशलेम के विषय कहता है, वह बसाई जाएगी और मन्दिर के विषय कि तेरी नेव डाली जाएगी।।
