1. सोर के विषय भारी वचन। हे तर्शीश के जहाजों हाय, हाय, करो; क्योंकि वह उजड़ गया; वहां न तो कोई घर और न कोई शरण का स्थान है! यह बात उनको कित्तियों के देश में से प्रगट की गई है।
मत्ती 11:21-22

1. The burden of Tyre. Wail, ye ships of Tarshish; for it is laid waste, so that there is no house, no entering in: from the land of Chittim it is revealed to them.

2. हे समुद्र के तीर के रहनेवालों, जिनको समुद्र के पार जानेवाले सीदोनी व्यापारियों ने धन से भर दिया है, चुप रहो!

2. Be still, ye inhabitants of the isle; thou whom the merchants of Zidon, that pass over the sea, have replenished.

3. शीहोर का अन्न, और नील नदी के पास की उपज महासागर के मार्ग से उसको मिनती थी, क्योंकि वह और जातियों के लिये व्योपार का स्थान था।

3. And by great waters the seed of Sihor, the harvest of the river, [is] her revenue; and she is a market of nations.

4. हे सीदोन, लज्जित हो, क्योंकि समुद्र ने अर्थात् समुद्र के दृढ़ सिाान ने यह कहा है, मैं ने न तो कभी जन्माने की पीड़ा जानी और न बालक को जन्म दिया, और न बेटों को पाला और न बेटियों को पोसा है।

4. Be thou ashamed, O Zidon: for the sea hath spoken, [even] the strength of the sea, saying, I travail not, nor bring forth children, neither do I nourish young men, [nor] bring up virgins.

5. जब सोर का समाचार मि में पहुंचे, तब वे सुनकर संकट में पड़ेंगे।

5. As at the report concerning Egypt, [so] shall they be greatly pained at the report of Tyre.

6. हे समुद्र के तीर के रहनेवालों हाय, हाय, करो! पार होकर तर्शीश को जाओ।

6. Pass ye over to Tarshish; wail, ye inhabitants of the isle.

7. क्या यह तुम्हारी प्रसन्नता से भरी हुई नगरी है जो प्राचीनकाल से बसी थी, जिसके पांव उसे बसने को दूर ले जाते थे?

7. [Is] this your joyous [city], whose antiquity [is] of ancient days? her own feet shall carry her far off to sojourn.

8. सोर जो राजाओं की गद्दी पर बैठाती थी, जिसके व्योपारी हाकिम थे, और जिसके महाजन पृथ्वी भर में प्रतिष्ठित थे, उसके विरूद्ध किस ने ऐसी युक्ति की है?

8. Who hath taken this counsel against Tyre, the crowning [city], whose merchants [are] princes, whose traders [are] the honourable of the earth?

9. सेनाओं के यहोवा ही ने ऐसी युक्ति की है कि समस्त गौरव के घमण्ड को तुच्छ कर दे और पृथ्वी के प्रतिष्ठितों का अपमान करवाए।

9. The LORD of hosts hath purposed it, to stain the pride of all glory, [and] to bring into contempt all the honourable of the earth.

10. हे तर्शीश के निवासियों नील नदी की नाई अपने देश में फैल जाओ; अब कुछ बन्धन नहीं रहा।

10. Pass through thy land as a river, O daughter of Tarshish: [there is] no more strength.

11. उस ने अपना हाथ समुद्र पर बढ़ाकर राज्यों को हिला दिया है; यहोवा ने कनान के दृढ़ किलों के नाश करने की आज्ञा दी है।

11. He stretched his hand over the sea, he shook the kingdoms: the LORD hath given a commandment against the merchant [city], to destroy its strong holds.

12. और उस ने कहा है, हे सीदोन, हे भ्रष्ट की हुई कुमारी, तू फिर प्रसन्न होने की नहीं; उठ, पार होकर कित्तियों के पास जा, परन्तु वहां भी तुझे चैन न मिलेगा।।

12. And he said, Thou shalt no more rejoice, O thou oppressed virgin, daughter of Zidon: arise, pass over to Chittim; there also shalt thou have no rest.

13. कसदियों के देश को देखो, वह जाति अब न रही; अश्शूर ने उस देश को जंगली जन्तुओं का स्थान बनाया। उन्हों ने अपने गुम्मट उठाए और राजभवनों को ढ़ा दिया, और उसको खण्डहर कर दिया।

13. Behold the land of the Chaldeans; this people was not, [till] the Assyrian founded it for them that dwell in the wilderness: they set up its towers, they raised up its palaces; [and] he brought it to ruin.

14. हे तर्शीश के जहाजों, हाय, हाय, करो, क्योंकि तुम्हारा दृढ़स्थान उजड़ गया है।

14. Wail, ye ships of Tarshish: for your strength is laid waste.

15. उस समय एक राजा के दिनों के अनुसार सत्तर वर्ष के बीतने पर सोर वेश्या की नाईं गीत गाने लगेगा।

15. And it shall come to pass in that day, that Tyre shall be forgotten seventy years, according to the days of one king: after the end of seventy years shall Tyre sing as an harlot.

16. हे बिसरी हुई वेश्या, वीणा लेकर नगर में घूम, भली भांति बजा, बहुत गीत गा, जिस से लोग फिर तुझे याद करें।

16. Take an harp, go about the city, thou harlot that hast been forgotten; make sweet melody, sing many songs, that thou mayest be remembered.

17. सत्तर वर्ष के बीतने पर यहोवा सोर की सुधि लेगा, और वह फिर छिनाले की कमाई पर मन लगाकर धरती भर के सब राज्यों के संग छिनाला करेंगी।

17. And it shall come to pass after the end of seventy years, that the LORD will visit Tyre, and she shall turn to her hire, and shall play the harlot with all the kingdoms of the world upon the face of the earth.

18. उसके व्योपार की प्राप्ति, और उसके छिनाले की कमाई, यहोवा के लिये पवित्रा कि जाएगी; वह न भण्डार में रखी जाएगी न संचय की जाएगी, क्योंकि उसके व्योपार की प्राप्ति उन्हीं के काम में आएगी जो यहोवा के साम्हने रहा करेंगे, कि उनको भरपूर भोजन और चमकीला वस्त्रा मिले।।

18. And her merchandise and her hire shall be holiness to the LORD: it shall not be treasured nor laid up; for her merchandise shall be for them that dwell before the LORD, for sufficient food and for durable clothing.
