1. यहोवा याकूब पर दया करेगा, और इस्राएल को फिर अपनाकर, उन्हीं के देश में बसाएगा, और परदेशी उन से मिल जाएंगे और अपने अपने को याकूब के घराने से मिला लेंगे।

1. For Yahweh will have compassion on Jacob, And will yet choose Israel, And will give them rest upon their own soil, And the sojourner, shall join himself, unto them, And they shall attach themselves unto the house of Jacob;

2. और देश देश के लोग उनको उन्हीं के स्थान में पहुंचाएंगे, और इस्राएल का घराना यहोवा की भूमि पर उनका अधिकारी होकर उनको दास और दासियां बनाएगा; क्योंकि वे अपने बंधुवाई में ले जानेवालों को बंधुआ करेंगे, और जो उन पर अत्याचार करते थे उन पर वे शासन करेंगे।।

2. And peoples shall take them, and bring them into their own place, And the house of Israel shall possess themselves of them upon the soil of Yahweh for servants and for handmaids, Thus shall they be taking captive their captors, And shall tread down their oppressors.

3. और जिस दिन यहोवा तुझे तेरे सन्ताप और घबराहट से, और उस कठिन श्रम से जो तुझ से लिया गया विश्राम देगा,

3. And it shall come to pass, in the day when Yahweh shall give thee rest flora thy toil, and from thy disquiet, and from the hard service which had been laid upon thee,

4. उस दिन तू बाबुल के राजा पर ताना मारकर कहेगा कि परिश्रम करानेवाला कैसा नाश हो गया है, सुनहले मन्दिरों से भरी नगरी कैसी नाश हो गई है!

4. that thou shalt take up this taunt over the king of Babylon, and shalt say: How hath ceased the oppressor! Ceased the exactress!

5. यहोवा ने दुष्टों के सोंटे को और अन्याय से शासन करनेवालों के लठ को तोड़ दिया है,

5. Broke hath Yahweh the staff of the lawless, The sceptre of despots;

6. जिस से वे मनुष्यों को लगातार रोष से मारते रहते थे, और जाति जाति पर क्रोध से प्रभुता करते और लगातार उनके पीछे पड़े रहते थे।

6. Smiting peoples in passion With stroke unremitting, Trampling, in anger, on nations, Persecution unhindered.

7. अब सारी पृथ्वी को विश्राम मिला है, वह चैन से है; लोग ऊंचे स्वर से गा उठे हैं।

7. Quiet, at rest, the whole earth, Men have burst into shouting!

8. सनौवर और लबानोन के देवदार भी तुझ पर आनन्द करके कहते हैं, जब से तू गिराया गया तब से कोई हमें काटने को नहीं आया।

8. Yea the pine-trees, make mirth at thee, Cedars of Lebanon, Since thou wast laid low, No feller hath come up against us!

9. पाताल के नीचे अधोलो में तुझ से मिलने के लिये हलचल हो रही है; वह तेरे लिये मुर्दों को अर्थात्पृथ्वी के सब सरदारों को जगाता है, और वह जाति जाति से सब राजाओं को उनके सिंहासन पर से उठा खड़ा करता है।

9. Hades beneath, is excited about thee To meet thine arrival, Rousing up, for thee Shades, All the he-goats of earth! Maketh rise from their thrones, All the kings of the nations.

10. वे सब तुझ से कहेंगे, क्या तू भी हमारी नाई निर्बल हो गया है? क्या तू हमारे समान ही बन गया?

10. All of them, answer, and say to thee, Thou too, made strengthless, as we! Unto us, art thou like!

11. तेरा विभव और तेरी सारंगियों को शब्द अधोलोक में उतारा गया है; कीड़े तेरा बिछौना और केचुए तेरा ओढ़ना हैं।।

11. Brought down to Hades, thy pride. The hum of thy harps, Beneath thee, is spread out corruption, And, thy coverlet worms!

12. हे भोर के चमकनेवाले तारे तू क्योंकर आकाश से गिर पड़ा है? तू जो जाति जाति को हरा देता था, तू अब कैसे काटकर भूमि पर गिराया गया है?

12. How hast thou fallen from heaven, O Shining One Son of the Dawn! Hewn down to the earth, O crusher of nations!

13. तू मन में कहता तो था कि मैं स्वर्ग पर चढूंगा; मैं अपने सिंहासन को ईश्वर के तारागण से अधिक ऊंचा करूंगा; और उत्तर दिशा की छोर पर सभा के पर्वत पर बिराजूंगा;

13. Yet, thou, didst say in thy heart The heavens, will I ascend, Above the stars of GOD, will I lift up my throne, That I may sit in the Mount of Assembly In the Recesses of the North:

14. मैं मेघों से भी ऊंचे ऊंचे स्थानों के ऊपर चढूंगा, मैं परमप्रधान के तुल्य हो जाऊंगा।

14. I will mount on the hills of the clouds, I will match the Most High!

15. परन्तु तू अधोलोक में उस गड़हे की तह तक उतारा जाएगा।

15. Howbeit, to Hades, shalt thou be brought down, To the Recesses of the Pit!

16. जो तुझे देखेंगे तुझ को ताकते हुए तेरे विषय में सोच सोचकर कहेंगे, क्या यह वही पुरूष है जो पृथ्वी को चैन से रहने न देता था और राज्य राज्य में घबराहट डज्ञल देता था;

16. They who see thee, upon thee, will gaze, Upon thee, will thoughtfully muse, Is this the man who startled the earth? Who terrified kingdoms?

17. जो जगत को जंगल बनाता और उसके नगरों को ढा देता था, और अपने बंधुओं को घर जाने नहीं देता था?

17. Who made the world like a desert And its cities, brake down? Its prisoners, he loosed not. Bach one to his home.

18. जाति जाति के सब राजा अपने अपने घर पर महिमा के साथ आराम से पड़े हैं;

18. All the kings of the nations they all, are lying in state Each one in his crypt;

19. परन्तु तू निकम्मी शाख की नाईं अपनी कबर में से फेंका गया; तू उन मारे हुओं की लोथों से घिरा है जो तलवार से बिधकर गड़हे में पत्थरों के बीच में लताड़ी हुई लोथ के समान पड़े है।

19. But, thou, art flung out from thy grave, Like a scion detested, Beshrouded with slain, the pierced of the sword, Like a carcase trod underfoot:

20. तू उनके साथ कब्र में न गाड़ा जाएगा, क्योंकि तू ने अपने देश को उजाड़ दिया, और अपनी प्रजा का घात किया है। कुकर्मियों के वंश का नाम भी कभी न लिया जाएगा।

20. As for them who go down to the stones of the Pit, Thou shalt not be united with them in burial; For thy land, thou didst ruin Thy people, didst slay, Unnamed to times ago-abiding, Be the seed of the wicked!

21. उनके पूर्वजों के अधर्म के कारण पुत्रों के घात की तैयारी करो, ऐसा न हो कि वे फिर उठकर पृथ्वी के अधिकारी हो जाएं, और जगत में बहुत से नगर बसाएं।।

21. Prepare for his sons shambles. For the iniquity of their fathers, They shall not rise nor possess the earth, Nor fill the face of the world with cities.

22. सेनाओं के यहोवा की यह वाणी है कि मैं उनके विरूद्ध उठूंगा, और बाबुल का नाम और निशान मिटा डालूंगा, और बेटों- पोतों को काट डालूंगा, यहोवा की यही वाणी है।

22. I will rise. Then. against them, Declareth Yahweh of hosts, And will cut off from Babylon Record and remnant And scion and seed, Declareth Yahweh.

23. मैं उसको साही की मान्द और जल की झीलें कर दूंगा, और मैं उसे सत्यानाश के झाडू से झाड़ डालूंगा, सेनाओं के यहोवा की यही वाणी है।।

23. And will make her a possession for the bittern, And marshes of water, And will sweep it with the besom of destruction, Declareth Yahweh of hosts.

24. सेनाओं के यहोवा ने यह शपथ खाई है, नि:सन्देह जैसा मैं ने ठाना है, वैसा ही हो जाएगा, और जैसी मैं ने युक्ति की है, वैसी ही पूरी होगी,

24. Yahweh of hosts, hath sworn, saying, Surely as I intended, so, hath it come to pass, And as I purposed, the same, shall stand:

25. कि मैं अश्शूर को अपने ही देश में तोड़ दूंगा, और अपने पहाड़ों पर उसे कुचल डालूंगा; तब उसका जूआ उनकी गर्दनों पर से और उसका बोझ उनके कंधों पर से उतर जाएगा।

25. That I will break in pieces the Assyrian in my land, Yea upon my mountains, will I tread him underfoot, So shall be removed from off them his yoke, And his burden, from off their shoulder shall be removed.

26. यही युक्ति सारी पृथ्वी के लिये ठहराई गई है; और यह वही हाथ है जो सब जातियों पर बढ़ा हुआ है।

26. This, is the purpose that is purposed upon all the earth, And, this, the hand outstretched over all the nations;

27. क्योंकि सेनाओं के यहोवा ने युक्ति की है और कौन उसका टाल सकता है? उसका हाथ बढ़ाया गया है, उसे कौन रोक सकता है?

27. For, Yahweh of hosts, hath purposed, And who shall frustrate? And, his, is the hand outstretched, And who shall turn it back?

28. जिस वर्ष में आहाज राजा मर गया उसी वर्ष यह भारी भविष्यद्वाणी हुई:

28. In the year that King Ahaz died, came this oracle:

29. हे सारे पलिश्तीन तू इसलिये आनन्द न कर, कि तेरे मारनेवाले की लाठी टूट गई, क्योंकि सर्प की जड़ से एक काला नाग उत्पन्न होगा, और उसका फल एक उड़नेवाला और तेज विषवाला अग्निसर्प होगा।

29. Do not rejoice, Philistia, any of thee, In that the rod of him that smote thee, is broken, For, out of the root of the serpent, shall come forth, a viper, And his fruit be a fiery dragon that flieth.

30. तब कंगालों के जेठे खाएंगे और दरिद्र लोग निडर बैठने पाएंगे, परन्तु मैं तेरे वंश को भूख से मार डालूंगा, और तेरे बचे हुए लोग घात किए जाएंगे।

30. Then shall feed the firstborn of the poor, And the needy, in confidence lie down, And I will kill with famine thy root, And thy residue, shall be slain.

31. हे फाटक, तू हाय हाय कर; हे नगर, तू चिल्ला; हे पलिश्तीन तू सब का सब पिघल जा! क्योंकि उत्तर से एक धूआं उठेगा और उसकी सेना में से कोई पीछे न रहेगा।।

31. Howl O gate, Make outcry O city, Dispersed art thou Philistia, all of thee, For out of the north, a smoke cometh in, With no straggler in his ranks.

32. तब अन्यजातियों के दूतों को क्या उत्तर दिया जाएगा? यह कि यहोवा ने सिरयोन की नेव डाली है, और उसकी प्रजा के दीन लोग उस में शरण लेंगे।।

32. What, then, shall one answer the messengers of a nation? That Yahweh, hath founded Zion, And in her, shall seek refuge the oppressed of his people.
