1. आमोस के पुत्रा यशायाह का दर्शन, जिसको उस ने यहूदा और यरूशलेम के विषय में उज्जियाह, योताम, आहाज, और हिजकिरयाह नाम यहूदा के राजाओं के दिनों में पाया।

1. This is the prophecy of Esay the sonne of Amos, which he shewed vpon Iuda and Ieruasalem: In the tyme of Osias, Ioathan, Ahas, and Ezechias kynges of Iuda.

2. हे स्वर्ग सुन, और हे पृथ्वी कान लगा; क्योंकि यहोवा कहता है: मैं ने बालबच्चों का पालन पोषण किया, और उनको बढ़ाया भी, परन्तु उन्हों ने मुझ से बलवा किया।

2. Heare o heauen, herken o earth, for the LORDE speaketh: I haue norished & brought vp children, and they are fallen awaye fro me.

3. बैल तो अपने मालिक को और गदहा अपने स्वामी की चरनी को पहिचानता है, परन्तु इस्राएल मुझें नहीं जानता, मेरी प्रजा विचार नहीं करती।।

3. An oxe knoweth his LORDE, and an Asse his masters stall, but Israel knoweth nothinge, my people hath no vnderstondinge.

4. हाय, यह जाति पाप से कैसी भरी है! यह समाज अधर्म से कैसा लदा हुआ है! इस वंश के लोग कैसे कुकर्मी हैं, ये लड़केबाले कैसे बिगड़े हुए हैं! उन्हों ने यहोवा को छोड़ दिया, उन्हों ने इस्राएल के पवित्रा को तुच्छ जाना है! वे पराए बनकर दूर हो गए हैं।।

4. Alas for this synful people, which are experte in blasphemies, a frawerde generacion, vnnatural children. They haue forsaken the LORDE, they haue prouoked the holy one of Israel vnto anger, and are gone bacward.

5. तुम बलवा कर करके क्यों अधिक मार खाना चाहते हो? तुम्हारा सिर घावों से भर गया, और तुम्हारा हृदय दु:ख से भरा है।

5. Wherfore shulde ye be plaged eny more? For ye are euer fallinge awaye. The whole heade is sick, and the herte is very heuy.

6. नख से सिर तक कहीं भी कुछ आरोग्यता नहीं, केवल चोट और कोड़े की मार के चिन्ह और सड़े हुए घाव हैं जो न दबाये गए, न बान्धे गए, न तेल लगाकर नरमाये गए हैं।।

6. From the sole of the foote vnto the heade, there is no whole parte in all yor body: but all are woundes, botches, sores and strypes, which can nether be helped, bounde vp, molified, ner eased with eny oyntment.

7. तुम्हारा देश उजड़ा पड़ा है, तुम्हारे नगर भस्म हो गए हैं; तुम्हारे खेतों को परदेशी लोग तुम्हारे देखते ही निगल रहे हैं; वह परदेश्यिों से नाश किए हुए देश के समान उजाड़ है।

7. Youre londe lieth waist, youre cities are brent vp, youre enemies deuoure youre londe, and ye must be fayne to stonde, and loke vpon it: and it is desolate, as it were with enemies in a batell.

8. और सिरयोन की बेटी दाख की बारी में की झोपड़ी की नाईं छोड़ दी गई है, वा ककड़ी के खेत में की छपरिया या घिरे हुए नगर के समान अकेली खड़ी है।

8. Morouer ye doughter of Syon is left alone like a cotage in a vynyearde, like a watchouse in tyme of warre, like a beseged citie.

9. यदि सेनाओं का यहोवा हमारे थोड़े से लोगों को न बचा रखता, तो हम सदोम के समान हो जाते, और अमोरा के समान ठहरते।।

9. And excepte the LORDE of hostes had left us a few alyue: we shulde haue bene as Sodoma, & like vnto Gomorra.

10. हे सदोम के न्याइयों, यहोवा का वचन सुनो! हे अमोरा की प्रजा, हमारे परमेश्वर की शिक्षा पर कान लगा।

10. Heare the worde of the LORDE ye tyrauntes of Sodoma: and herken vnto the lawe of oure God, thou people of Gomorra.

11. यहोवा यह कहता है, तुम्हारे बहुत से मेलबलि मेरे किस काम के हैं? मैं तो मेढ़ों के होमबलियों से और पाले हुए पशुओं की चर्बी से अघा गया हूं;

11. Why offre ye so many sacrifices vnto me? I am discontent for the brentoffringes of wethers, and with ye fatnesse offedbeastes. I haue no pleasure in the bloude of bullockes, lambes and gootes.

12. मैं बछड़ों वा भेड़ के बच्चों वा बकरों के लोहू से प्रसन्न नहीं होता।। तुम जब अपने मुंह मुझे दिखाने के लिये आते हो, तब यह कौन चाहता है कि तुम मेरे आंगनों को पांव से रौंदो?

12. When ye apeare before me, who requyreth you to treade within my porches?

13. व्यर्थ अन्नबलि फिर मत लाओ; धूप से मुझे घृणा है। नये चांद और विश्रामदिन का मानना, और सभाओं का प्रचार करना, यह मुझे बुरा लगता है। महासभा के साथ ही साथ अनर्थ काम करना मुझ से सहा नहीं जाता।

13. Offre me no mo oblacions, for it is but lost laboure. I abhorre youre incense. I maye not awaye with youre newmoones, youre Sabbathes and solempne dayes. Youre fastinges are also in vayne.

14. तुम्हारे नये चांदों और नियत पर्वों के मानने से मैं जी से बैर रखता हूं; वे सब मुझे बोझ से जान पड़ते हैं, मैं उनको सहते सहते उकता गया हूं।

14. I hate youre new holy dayes and fastinges, euen fro my very harte. They make me weery, I can not abyde them.

15. जब तुम मेरी ओर हाथ फैलाओ, तब मैं तुम से मुंह फेर लूंगा; तुम कितनी ही प्रार्थना क्यों न करो, तौभी मैं तुम्हारी न सुनूंगा; क्योंकि तुम्हारे हाथ खून से भरे हैं।

15. Though ye holde out yor hondes, yet turne I myne eyes from you. And though ye make many prayers, yet heare I nothinge at all, for youre hondes are full of bloude.

16. अपने को धोकर पवित्रा करो: मेरी आंखों के साम्हने से अपने बुरे कामों को दूर करो; भविष्य में बुराई करता छोड़ दो,

16. Wash you, make you clene, put awaye yor euell thoughtes out of my sight, cease from doinge of euell and violence.

17. भलाई करना सीखो; यत्न से न्याय करो, उपद्रवी को सुधारो; अनाथ का न्याय चुकाओ, विधवा का मुक मा लड़ो।।

17. Lerne to do right, applie youre selues to equyte, delyuer the oppressed, helpe the fatherlesse to his right, let the wydowes complaynte come before you.

18. यहोवा कहता है, आओ, हम आपस में वादविवाद करें: तुम्हारे पाप चाहे लाल रंग के हों, तौभी वे हिम की नाईं उजले हो जाएंगे; और चाहे अर्गवानी रंग के हों, तौभी वे ऊन के समान श्वेत हो जाएंगे।

18. Now go to (saieth the LORDE) we wil talke together. Is it not so? Though youre synnes be as read as scarlet, shal they not be whyter then snowe? And though they were like purple, shall they not be like whyte woll?

19. यदि तुम आज्ञाकारी होकर मेरी मानो,

19. Is it not so? Yf ye be louynge & obedient, ye shal enioye the best thinge that groweth in the londe.

20. तो इस देश के उत्तम से उत्तम पदाथै खाओगे; और यदि तुम ने मानो और बलवा करो, तो तलवार से मारे जाओगे; यहोवा का यही वचन है।।

20. But yf ye be obstinate and rebellious, ye shalbe deuoured with the swerde: for thus the LORDE hath promised with his owne mouth.

21. जो नगरी सती थी सो क्योंकर व्यभिचारिन हो गई! वह न्याय से भरी थी और उस में धर्म पाया जाता था, परन्तु अब उस में हत्यारे ही पाए जाते हैं। तेरी चान्दी घातु का मैल हो गई,

21. How happeneth it then that the rightuous citie (which was full of equite) is become vnfaithfull as an whore? rightuousnes dwelt in it, but now murthur.

22. तेरे दाखमधु में पानी मिल गया है।

22. Thy Siluer is turned to drosse, and thy wyne myxte wt water.

23. तेरे हाकिम हठीले और चोरों से मिले हैं। वे सब के सब घूस खानेवाले और भेंट के लालची हैं। वे अनाथ का न्याय नहीं करते, और न विधवा का मुक मा अपने पास आने देते हैं।

23. Thy prynces are traytours and companyons of theues. They loue giftes altogether, and folowe rewardes. As for the fatherles, they helpe him not to his right, nether wil they let the wydowes causes come before them.

24. इस कारण प्रभु सेनाओं के यहोवा, इस्राएल के शक्तिमान की यह वाणी है: सुनो, मैं अपने शत्रुओं को दूर करके शान्ति पाऊंगा, और अपने बैरियों से पलटा लूंगा।

24. Therfore speaketh the LORDE God of hostes the mighty one of Israel: Ah I must ease me of myne enemies, and a venge me vpo the.

25. और मैं तुम पर हाथ बढ़ाकर तुम्हारा धातु का मैल पूरी रीति से दूर करूंगा।

25. And therfore shal I laye my honde vpon the, and burne out thy drosse from the fynest and purest, and put out all thy leade,

26. और मैं तुम में पहिले की नाईं न्यायी और आदि काल के समान मंत्री फिर नियुक्त करूंगा। उसके बाद तू धम्रपुरी और सती नगरी कहलाएगी।।

26. & set thy iudges agayne as they were somtyme, and thy Senatours as they were from ye begynnynge. Then shalt thou be called the rightuous citie, the faithful citie.

27. सिरयोन न्याय के द्वारा, और जो उस में फिरेंगे वे धर्म के द्वारा छुड़ा लिए जाएंगे।

27. But Sion shalbe redemed with equyte, and hyr captiuyte with rightuousnesse

28. परन्तु बलवाइयों और पापियों का एक संग नाश होगा, और जिन्हों ने यहोवा को न्यागा है, उनका अन्त हो जाएगा।

28. For the transgressours and vngodly, and soch as are become vnfaithfull vnto the LORDE, must all together be vtterly destroyed.

29. क्योंकि जिन बांजवृक्षों से तुम प्रीति रखते थे, उन से वे लज्जित होंगे, और जिन बारियों से तुम प्रसन्न रहते थे, उसके कारण तुम्हारे मुंह काले होंगे।

29. And excepte ye be ashamed of the oketrees wherin ye haue so delited, and of the gardes that ye haue chosen:

30. क्योंकि तुम पत्ते मुर्झाए हुए बांजवृक्ष के, और बिना जल की बारी के समान हो जाओगे।

30. ye shalbe as an oke whose leaues are fallen awaye, and as a garden that hath no moystnesse.

31. और बलवान तो सन और उसका काम चिंगारी बनेगा, और दोनों एक साथ जलेंगे, और कोई बुझानेवाला न होगा।।

31. And as for the glory of these thinges, it shalbe turned to drie strawe, and he that made them to a sparke. And they shal both burne together, so that no man shalbe able to quench them.
