1. THE WORDS OF KING LEMUEL: The prophecie which his mother taught him.

2. हे मेरे पुत्रा, हे मेरे निज पुत्रा! हे मेरी मन्नतों के पुत्रा!

2. What my sonne! and what ye sonne of my wombe! and what, O sonne of my desires!

3. अपना बल स्त्रियों को न देना, न अपना जीवन उनके वश कर देता जो राजाओं का पौरूष खो देती हैं।

3. Giue not thy strength vnto women, nor thy wayes, which is to destroy Kings.

4. हे लमूएल, राजाओं का दाखमघु पीना उनको शोभा नहीं देता, और मदिरा चाहना, रईयों को नहीं फबता;

4. It is not for Kings, O Lemuel, it is not for Kings to drink wine nor for princes strog drinke,

5. ऐसा न हो कि वे पीकर व्यवस्था को भूल जाएं और किसी दु:खी के हक को मारें।

5. Lest he drinke and forget the decree, and change the iudgement of all the children of affliction.

6. मदिरा उसको पिलाओ जो मरने पर है, और दाखमधु उदास मनवालों को ही देना;

6. Giue ye strong drinke vnto him that is readie to perish, and wine vnto them that haue griefe of heart.

7. जिस से वे पीकर अपनी दरिद्रता को भूल जाएं और अपने कठिन श्रम फिर स्मरण न करें।

7. Let him drinke, that he may forget his pouertie, and remember his miserie no more.

8. गूंगे के लिये अपना मुंह खोल, और सब अनाथों का न्याय उचित रीति से किया कर।

8. Open thy mouth for the domme in the cause of all the children of destruction.

9. अपना मुंह खोल और धर्म से न्याय कर, और दीन दरिद्रों का न्याय कर।

9. Open thy mouth: iudge righteously, and iudge the afflicted, and the poore.

10. भली पत्नी कौन पा सकता है? क्योंकि उसका मूल्य मूंगों से भी बहुत अधिक है। उसके पति के मन में उसके प्रति विश्वास है।

10. Who shall finde a vertuous woman? for her price is farre aboue the pearles.

11. और उसे लाभ की घटी नहीं होती।

11. The heart of her husband trusteth in her, and he shall haue no neede of spoyle.

12. वह अपने जीवन के सारे दिनों में उस से बुरा नहीं, वरन भला ही व्यवहार करती है।

12. She will doe him good, and not euill all the dayes of her life.

13. वह ऊन और सन ढूंढ़ ढूंढ़कर, अपने हाथों से प्रसन्नता के साथ काम करती है।

13. She seeketh wooll and flaxe, and laboureth cheerefully with her handes.

14. वह व्योपार के जहाजों की नाई अपनी भोजनवस्तुएं दूर से मंगवाती हैं।

14. She is like the shippes of marchants: shee bringeth her foode from afarre.

15. वह रात ही को उठ बैठती है, और अपने घराने को भोजन खिलाती है और अपनी लौण्डियों को अलग अलग काम देती है।

15. And she riseth, whiles it is yet night: and giueth the portion to her houshold, and the ordinarie to her maides.

16. वह किसी खेत के विषय में सोच विचार करती है और उसे मोल ले लेती है; और अपने परिश्रम के फल से दाख की बारी लगाती है।

16. She considereth a field, and getteth it: and with the fruite of her handes she planteth a vineyarde.

17. वह अपनी कटि को बल के फेंटे से कसती है, और अपनी बाहों को दृढ़ बनाती है।

17. She girdeth her loynes with strength, and strengtheneth her armes.

18. वह परख लेती है कि मेरा व्योपार लाभदायक है। रात को उसका दिया नहीं बुझता।

18. She feeleth that her marchandise is good: her candle is not put out by night.

19. वह अटेरन में हाथ लगाती है, और चरखा पकड़ती है।

19. She putteth her handes to the wherue, and her handes handle the spindle.

20. वह दीन के लिये मुट्ठी खोलती है, और दरिद्र के संभालने को हाथ बढ़ाती है।

20. She stretcheth out her hand to the poore, and putteth foorth her hands to the needie.

21. वह अपने घराने के लिये हिम से नहीं डरती, क्योंकि उसके घर के सब लोग लाल कपड़े पहिनते हैं।

21. She feareth not the snowe for her familie: for all her familie is clothed with skarlet.

22. वह तकिये बना लेती है; उसके वस्त्रा सूक्ष्म सन और बैंजनी रंग के होते हैं।

22. She maketh her selfe carpets: fine linen and purple is her garment.

23. जब उसका पति सभा में देश के पुरनियों के संग बैठता है, तब उसका सन्मान होता है।

23. Her husband is knowen in the gates, when he sitteth with the Elders of the land.

24. वह सन के वस्त्रा बनाकर बेचती है; और व्योपारी को कमरबन्द देती है।

24. She maketh sheetes, and selleth them, and giueth girdels vnto the marchant.

25. वह बल और प्रताप का पहिरावा पहिने रहती है, और आनेवाले काल के विषय पर हंसती है।

25. Strength and honour is her clothing, and in the latter day she shall reioyce.

26. वह बुद्धि की बात बोलती है, और उसके वचन कृपा की शिक्षा के अनुसार होते हैं।

26. She openeth her mouth with wisdome, and the lawe of grace is in her tongue.

27. वह अपने घराने के चालचलन को ध्यान से देखती है, और अपनी रोटी बिना परिश्रम नहीं खाती।

27. She ouerseeth the wayes of her housholde, and eateth not the bread of ydlenes.

28. उसके पुत्रा उठ उठकर उसको धन्य कहते हैं, उनका पति भी उठकर उसकी ऐसी प्रशंसा करता है:

28. Her children rise vp, and call her blessed: her husband also shall prayse her, saying,

29. बहुत सी स्त्रियों ने अच्छे अच्छे काम तो किए हैं परन्तु तू उन सभों में श्रेष्ठ है।

29. Many daughters haue done vertuously: but thou surmountest them all.

30. शोभा तो झूठी और सुन्दरता व्यर्थ है, परन्तु जो स्त्री यहोवा का भय मानती है, उसकी प्रशंसा की जाएगी।

30. Fauour is deceitfull, and beautie is vanitie: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praysed.

31. उसके हाथों के परिश्रम का फल उसे दो, और उसके कार्यों से सभा में उसकी प्रशंसा होगी।।

31. Giue her of the fruite of her hands, and let her owne workes prayse her in the gates.
