1. तब यहोवा ने मूसा से कहा, अब तू देखेगा कि मैं फिरौन ने क्या करूंगा; जिस से वह उनको बरबस निकालेगा, वह तो उन्हें अपने देश से बरबस निकाल देगा।।

1. Then said Yahweh unto Moses, Now, shalt thou see, what I will do to Pharaoh, for with a strong hand, shall he let them go, and with a strong hand, shall he drive them out from his land.

2. और परमेश्वर ने मूसा से कहा, कि मैं यहोवा हूं।

2. And Gods spake unto Moses, and said unto him, I, am Yahweh:

3. मैं सर्वशक्तिमान ईश्वर के नाम से इब्राहीम, इसहाक, और याकूब को दर्शन देता था, परन्तु यहोवा के नाम से मैं उन पर प्रगट न हुआ।

3. I appeared, therefore, unto Abraham unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, as GOD Almighty, although, by my name Yahweh was I not made known to them;

4. और मैं ने उनके साथ अपनी वाचा दृढ़ की है, अर्थात् कनान देश जिस में वे परदेशी होकर रहते थे, उसे उन्हें दे दूं।

4. Moreover also I established my covenant with them, to give them the land of Canaan, even the land of their sojournings wherein they sojourned.

5. और इस्राएली जिन्हें मिद्दी लोग दासत्व में रखते हैं उनका कराहना भी सुनकर मैं ने अपनी वाचा को स्मरण किया है।

5. Moreover also, I heard the groaning of the sons of Israel, whom the Egyptians, were holding in servitude, So then I remembered my covenant.

6. इस कारण तू इस्राएलियों से कह, कि मैं यहोवा हूं, और तुम को मिस्त्रियों के बोझों के नीचे से निकालूंगा, और उनके दासत्व से तुम को छुडाऊंगा, और अपनी भुजा बढ़ाकर और भारी दण्ड देकर तुम्हें छुड़ा लूंगा,

6. Therefore say thou to the sons of Israel-I, am Yahweh, Therefore will I bring you forth from under the burdens of Egypt, And will deliver you out of their service, And will redeem you with a stretched-out arm, and with great judgments;

8. और जिस देश के देने की शपथ मैं ने इब्राहीम, इसहाक, और याकूब से खाई थी उसी में मैं तुम्हें पहुंचाकर उसे तुम्हारा भाग कर दूंगा। मैं तो यहोवा हूं।

8. And I will bring you into the land as to which I uplifted my hand to give it to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, and will give it to you as an inheritance: I, am Yahweh.

9. और ये बातें मूसा ने इस्राएलियों को सुनाई; परन्तु उन्हों ने मन की बेचैनी और दासत्व की क्रूरता के कारण उसकी न सुनी।।

9. And Moses spake thus unto the sons of Israel, but they hearkened not unto Moses, through shortness of spirit, and through hard service.

10. तब यहोवा ने मूसा से कहा,

10. And Yahweh spake unto Moses saying:

11. तू जाकर मि के राजा फिरौन से कह, कि इस्राएलियों को अपने देश में से निकल जाने दे।

11. Go in speak unto Pharaoh king of Egypt, that he let the sons of Israel go out of his land.

12. और मूसा ने यहोवा से कहा, देख, इस्राएलियों ने मेरी नहीं सुनी; फिर फिरौन मुझ भ : बोलनेवाले की क्योंकर सुनेगा ?

12. And Moses spake before Yahweh, saying, Lo! the sons of Israel have not hearkened unto me, how then shall Pharaoh, hear, I, also being of uncircumcised lips.

13. और यहोवा ने मूसा और हारून को इस्राएलियों और मि के राजा फिरौन के लिये आज्ञा इस अभिप्राय से दी कि वे इस्राएलियों को मि देश से निकाल ले जाएं।

13. Thus then did Yahweh speak unto Moses and unto Aaron, yea he gave them a charge unto the sons of Israel, and unto Pharaoh king of Egypt, for the bringing forth of the sons of Israel out of the land of Egypt.

14. उनके पितरों के घरानों के मुख्य पुरूष ये हैं : इस्राएल के जेठा रूबेन के पुत्रा : हनोक, पल्लू, हेद्दॊन और कर्म्मी थे;

14. These, are the heads of their ancestral house: The sons of Reuben the first-born of Israel, Hanoch and Pallu, Hezron and Carmi. These are the families of, Reuben.

15. और शिमोन के पुत्रा : यमूएल, यामीन, ओहद, याकिन, और सोहर थे, और एक कनानी स्त्री का बेटा शाउल भी था; इन्हीं से शिमोन के कुल निकले।

15. And, the sons of Simeon, Jemuel and Jamin and Ohad and Jachin and Zohar, and Shaul the son of a Canaanitess. These, are the families of, Simeon.

16. और लेवी के पुत्रा जिन से उनकी वंशावली चली है, उनके नाम ये हैं : अर्थात् गेर्शोन, कहात और मरारी, और लेवी को पूरी अवस्था एक सौ सैंतीस वर्ष की हुई।

16. And, these, are the names of the sons of Levi by their generations, Gershon, and Kohath and Merari, And, the years of the life of Levi, were a hundred and thirty-seven years.

17. गेर्शोन के पुत्रा जिन से उनका कुल चला : लिबनी और शिमी थे।

17. The sons of Gershon, Libni and Shimei by their families.

18. और कहात के पुत्रा : अम्राम, यिसहार, हेब्रोन और उज्जीएल थे, और कहात की पूरी अवस्था एक सौ सैंतीस वर्ष की हुई।

18. And the sons of Kohath, Amram and Izhar, and Hebron and Uzziel. And the years of the life of Kohath, were a hundred and thirty-three years.

19. और मरारी के पुत्रा : महली और मूशी थे। लेवियों के कुल जिन से उनकी वंशावली चली ये ही हैं।

19. And the sons of Merari, Mahli and Mushi. These, are the families of the Levites by their generations.

20. अम्राम ने अपनी फूफी योकेबेद को ब्याह लिया और उस से हारून और मूसा उत्पन्न हुए, और अम्राम की पूरी अवस्था एक सौ सैंतीस वर्ष की हुई।

20. So then, Amram took Jochebed, his father's sister to himself to wife, and she bare to him Aaron and Moses. And, the years of the life of Amram, were a hundred and thirty-seven.

21. और यिसहार के पुत्रा कोरह, नेपेग और जिक्री थे।

21. And the sons of Izhar, Korah and Nepheg, and Zichri.

22. और उज्जीएल के पुत्रा: मीशाएल, एलसापन और सित्री थे।

22. And the sons of Uzziel, Mishael and Elzaphan, and Sithri.

23. और हारून ने अम्मीनादाब की बेटी, और नहशोन की बहिन एलीशेबा को ब्याह लिया; और उस से नादाब, अबीहू, ऐलाजार और ईतामार उत्पन्न हुए।

23. And Aaron took Elisheba, daughter of Amminadab, sister of Nahshon, to himself to wife, and she bare to him Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.

24. और कोरह के पुत्रा : अस्सीर, एलकाना और अबीआसाप थे; और इन्हीं से कोरहियों के कुल निकले।

24. And the sons of Korah, Assir and Elkanah, and Abiasaph. These are the families of the Korahites.

25. और हारून के पुत्रा एलाजार ने पूतीएल की एक बेटी को ब्याह लिया; और उस से पीनहास उत्पन्न हुआ जिन से उनका कुल चला। लेवियों के पितरों के घरानों के मुख्य पुरूष ये ही हैं।

25. And Eleazar, son of Aaron took to himself one of the daughters of Putiel, to himself to wife, and she bare to him Phinehas. These, are the heads of the fathers of the Levites by their families.

26. हारून और मूसा वे ही हैं जिनको यहोवा ने यह आज्ञा दी, कि इस्राएलियों को दल दल करके उनके जत्थों के अनुसार मि देश से निकाल ले आओ।

26. The same, Aaron and Moses, to whom said Yahweh, Bring ye forth the sons of Israel out of the land of Egypt, according to their hosts:

27. ये वही मूसा और हारून हैं जिन्हों ने मि के राजा फिरौन से कहा, कि हम इस्राएलियों को मि से निकाल ले जाएंगे।।

27. They who were to speak unto Pharaoh king of Egypt, to bring forth the sons of Israel out of Egypt: The same, Moses and Aaron.

28. जब यहोवा ने मि देश में मूसा से यह बात कही,

28. Thus came it to pass, that on a certain day, Yahweh spake unto Moses in the land of Egypt.

29. कि मैं तो यहोवा हूं; इसलिये जो कुछ मैं तुम से कहूंगा वह सब मि के राजा फिरौन से कहना।

29. So then Yahweh spake unto Moses, saying I, am Yahweh: Speak thou unto Pharaoh king of Egypt, all that, I, am speaking unto thee.

30. और मूसा ने यहोवा को उत्तर दिया, कि मैं तो बोलने में भस्रा हूं; और फिरोन क्योंकर मेरी सुनेगा ?

30. And Moses said before Yahweh, Lo! I, am of uncircumcised lips, how then will Pharaoh hearken unto me?
