1. परमेश्वर हमारा शरणस्थान और बल है, संकट में अति सहज से मिलनेवाला सहायक।

2. इस कारण हम को कोई भय नहीं चाहे पृथ्वी उलट जाए, और पहाड़ समुद्र के बीच में डाल दिए जाएं;

4. एक नदी है जिसकी नहरों से परमेश्वर के नगर में अर्थात् परमप्रधान के पवित्रा निवास भवन में आनन्द होता है।

4. There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy habitation of the Most High.

5. परमेश्वर उस नगर के बीच में है, वह कभी टलने का नहीं; पौ फटते ही परमेश्वर उसकी सहायता करता है।

5. God is in the midst of the city; it shall not be moved; God will help it when the morning dawns.

6. जाति जाति के लोग झल्ला उठे, राज्य राज्य के लोग डगमगाने लगे; वह बोल उठा, और पृथ्वी पिघल गई।

9. He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; he breaks the bow, and shatters the spear; he burns the shields with fire.

10. चुप हो जाओ, और जान लो, कि मैं ही परमेश्वर हूं। मैं जातियों में महान् हूं, मैं पृथ्वी भर में महान् हूं!

10. Be still, and know that I am God! I am exalted among the nations, I am exalted in the earth.
