2. You are my mighty rock, my fortress, my protector, the rock where I am safe, my shield, my powerful weapon, and my place of shelter.

4. Death had wrapped its ropes around me, and I was almost swallowed by its flooding waters.

6. I was in terrible trouble when I called out to you, but from your temple you heard me and answered my prayer.

10. You rode on the backs of flying creatures and swooped down with the wind as wings.

11. उस ने अन्धियारे को अपने छिपने का स्थान और अपने चारों ओर मेघों के अन्धकार और आकाश की काली घटाओं का मण्डप बनाया।

11. Darkness was your robe; thunderclouds filled the sky, hiding you from sight.

12. उसकी उपस्थिति की झलक से उसकी काली घटाएं फट गई; ओले और अंगारे।

12. Hailstones and fiery coals lit up the sky in front of you.

13. तब यहोवा आकाश में गरजा, और परमप्रधान ने अपनी वाणी सुनाई, ओले ओर अंगारे।।

13. LORD Most High, your voice thundered from the heavens, as hailstones and fiery coals poured down like rain.

14. You scattered your enemies with arrows of lightning.

15. तब जल के नाले देख पड़े, और जगत की नेवें प्रगट हुई, यह तो यहोवा तेरी डांट से, और तेरे नथनों की सांस की झोंक से हुआ।।

15. You roared at the sea, and its deepest channels could be seen. You snorted, and the earth shook to its foundations.

16. उस ने ऊपर से हाथ बढ़ाकर मुझे थांम लिया, और गहिरे जल में से खींच लिया।

16. You reached down from heaven, and you lifted me from deep in the ocean.

17. उस ने मेरे बलवन्त शत्रु से, और उन से जो मुझ से घृणा करते थे मुझे छुडाया; क्योंकि वे अधिक सामर्थी थे।

17. You rescued me from enemies, who were hateful and too powerful for me.

18. On the day disaster struck, they came and attacked, but you defended me.

19. और उस ने मुझे निकालकर चौड़े स्थान में पहुंचाया, उस ने मुझ को छुड़ाया, क्योंकि वह मुझ से प्रसन्न था।

19. When I was fenced in, you freed and rescued me because you love me.

20. यहोवा ने मुझ से मेरे धर्म के अनुसार व्यवहार किया; और मेरे हाथों की शुद्धता के अनुसार उस ने मुझे बदला दिया।

20. You are good to me, LORD, because I do right, and you reward me because I am innocent.

21. क्योंकि मैं यहोवा के मार्गों पर चलता रहा, और दुष्टता के कारण अपने परमेश्वर से दूर न हुआ।

21. I do what you want and never turn to do evil.

22. क्योंकि उसके सारे निर्णय मेरे सम्मुख बने रहे और मैं ने उसकी विधियों को न त्यागा।

22. I keep your laws in mind and never look away from your teachings.

23. और मैं उसके सम्मुख सिद्ध बना रहा, और अधर्म से अपने को बचाए रहा।

23. I obey you completely and guard against sin.

24. यहोवा ने मुझे मेरे धर्म के अनुसार बदला दिया, और मेरे हाथों की उस शुद्धता के अनुसार जिसे वह देखता था।।

24. You have been good to me because I do right; you have rewarded me for being innocent by your standards.

25. दयावन्त के साथ तू अपने को दयावन्त दिखाता; और खरे पुरूष के साथ तू अपने को खरा दिखाता है।

25. You are always loyal to your loyal people, and you are faithful to the faithful.

26. शुद्ध के साथ तू अपने को शुद्ध दिखाता, और टेढ़े के साथ तू तिर्छा बनता है।

26. With all who are sincere, you are sincere, but you treat the unfaithful as their deeds deserve.

27. क्योंकि तू दी लोगों को तो बचाता है; परन्तु घमण्ड भरी आंखों को नीची करता है।

27. You rescue the humble, but you put down all who are proud.

28. हां, तू ही मेरे दीपक को जलाता है; मेरा परमेश्वर यहोवा मेरे अन्धियारे को उजियाला कर देता है।

28. You, the LORD God, keep my lamp burning and turn darkness to light.

29. क्योंकि तेरी सहायता से मैं सेना पर धावा करता हूं; और अपने परमेश्वर की सहायता से शहरपनाह को लांघ जाता हूं।

29. You help me defeat armies and capture cities.

30. ईश्वर का मार्ग सच्चाई; यहोवा का वचन ताया हुआ है; वह अपने सब शरणागतों की ढाल है।।

30. Your way is perfect, LORD, and your word is correct. You are a shield for those who run to you for help.

31. यहोवा को छोड़ क्या कोई ईश्वर है? हमारे परमेश्वर को छोड़ क्या और कोई चट्टान है?

31. You alone are God! Only you are a mighty rock.

32. You give me strength and guide me right.

33. You make my feet run as fast as those of a deer, and you help me stand on the mountains.

34. You teach my hands to fight and my arms to use a bow of bronze.

35. You alone are my shield. Your right hand supports me, and by coming to help me, you have made me famous.

36. You clear the way for me, and now I won't stumble.

37. मैं अपने शत्रुओं का पीछा करके उन्हें पकड़ लूंगा; और जब तब उनका अन्त न करूं तब तक न लौटूंगा।

37. I kept chasing my enemies, until I caught them and destroyed them.

38. मैं उन्हें ऐसा बेधूंगा कि वे उठ न सकेंगे; वे मेरे पांवों के नीचे गिर पड़ेंगे।

38. I stuck my sword through my enemies, and they were crushed under my feet.

39. क्योंकि तू ने युद्ध के लिये मेरी कमर में शक्ति का पटुका बान्धा है; और मेरे विरोधियों को मेरे सम्मुख नीचा कर दिया।

39. You helped me win victories, and you forced my attackers to fall victim to me.

40. तू ने मेरे शत्रुओं की पीठ मेरी ओर फेर दी, ताकि मैं उनको काट डालूं जो मुझ से द्वेष रखते हैं।

40. You made my enemies run, and I killed them.

41. उन्हों ने दोहाई तो दी परन्तु उन्हें कोई भी बचानेवाला न मिला, उन्हों ने यहोवा की भी दोहाई दी, परन्तु उस ने भी उनको उत्तर न दिया।

41. They cried out for help, but no one saved them; they called out to you, but there was no answer.

42. तब मैं ने उनको कूट कूटकर पवन से उड़ाई हुई धूलि के समान कर दिया; मैं ने उनको गली कूचों की कीचड़ के समान निकाल फेंका।।

42. I ground them to dust blown by the wind, and I poured them out like mud in the streets.

43. तू ने मुझे प्रजा के झगड़ों से भी छुड़ाया; तू ने मुझे अन्यजातियों का प्रधान बनाया है; जिन लोगों को मैं जानता भी न था वे मेरे अधीन हो गये।

43. You rescued me from stubborn people, and you made me the leader of foreign nations, who are now my slaves.

44. मेरा नाम सुनते ही वे मेरी आज्ञा का पालन करेंगे; परदेशी मेरे वश में हो जाएंगे।

44. They obey and come crawling.

45. परदेशी मुर्झा जाएंगे, और अपने किलों में से थरथराते हुए निकलेंगे।।

45. They have lost all courage, and from their fortresses, they come trembling.

46. यहोवा परमेश्वर जीवित है; मेरी चट्टान धन्य है; और मेरे मुक्तिदाता परमेश्वर की बड़ाई हो।

46. You are the living LORD! I will praise you. You are a mighty rock. I will honor you for keeping me safe.

47. धन्य है मेरा पलटा लेनेवाला ईश्वर! जिस ने देश देश के लोगों को मेरे वंश में कर दिया है;

47. You took revenge for me, and you put nations in my power.

48. और मुझे मेरे शत्रुओं से छुड़ाया है; तू मुझ को मेरे विरोधियों से ऊंचा करता, और उपद्रवी पुरूष से बचाता है।।

48. You protected me from violent enemies and made me much greater than all of them.

49. इस कारण मैं जाति जाति के साम्हने तेरा धन्यवाद करूंगा, और तेरे नाम का भजन गाऊंगा।

49. I will praise you, LORD, and I will honor you among the nations.

50. वह अपने ठहराए हुए राजा का बड़ा उद्धार करता है, वह अपने अभिषिक्त दाऊद पर और उसके वंश पर युगानुयुग करूणा करता रहेगा।।

50. You give glorious victories to your chosen king. Your faithful love for David and for his descendants will never end.
