1. याह की स्तुति करो। क्या ही धन्य है वह पुरूष जो यहोवा का भय मानता है, और उसकी आज्ञाओं से अति प्रसन्न रहता है!

1. PRAISE THE Lord! (Hallelujah!) Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the man who fears (reveres and worships) the Lord, who delights greatly in His commandments. [Deut. 10:12.]

2. उसका वंश पृथ्वी पर पराक्रमी होगा; सीधे लोगों की सन्तान आशीष पाएगी।

2. His [spiritual] offspring shall be mighty upon earth; the generation of the upright shall be blessed.

3. उसके घर में धन सम्पत्ति रहती है; और उसका धर्म सदा बना रहेगा।

3. Prosperity and welfare are in his house, and his righteousness endures forever.

4. सीधे लोगों के लिये अन्धकार के बीच में ज्योति उदय होती है; वह अनुग्रहकारी, दयावन्त और धर्मी होता है।

4. Light arises in the darkness for the upright, gracious, compassionate, and just [who are in right standing with God].

5. जो पुरूष अनुग्रह करता और उधार देता है, उसका कल्याण होता है, वह न्याय में अपने मुक में को जीतेगा।

5. It is well with the man who deals generously and lends, who conducts his affairs with justice. [Ps. 37:26; Luke 6:35; Col. 4:5.]

6. वह तो सदा तक अटल रहेगा; धर्मी का स्मरण सदा तक बना रहेगा।

6. He will not be moved forever; the [uncompromisingly] righteous (the upright, in right standing with God) shall be in everlasting remembrance. [Prov. 10:7.]

7. वह बुरे समाचार से नहीं डरता; उसका हृदय यहोवा पर भरोसा रखने से स्थिर रहता है।

7. He shall not be afraid of evil tidings; his heart is firmly fixed, trusting (leaning on and being confident) in the Lord.

8. उसका हृदय सम्भला हुआ है, इसलिये वह न डरेगा, वरन अपने द्रोहियों पर दृष्टि करके सन्तुष्ट होगा।

8. His heart is established and steady, he will not be afraid while he waits to see his desire established upon his adversaries.

9. उस ने उदारता से दरिद्रों को दान दिया, उसका धर्म सदा बना रहेगा और उसका सींग महिमा के साथ ऊंचा किया जाएगा।

9. He has distributed freely [he has given to the poor and needy]; his righteousness (uprightness and right standing with God) endures forever; his horn shall be exalted in honor. [II Cor. 9:9.]

10. दुष्ट उसे देखकर कुढेगा; वह दांत पीस- पीसकर गल जाएगा; दुष्टों की लालसा पूरी न होगी।।

10. The wicked man will see it and be grieved and angered, he will gnash his teeth and disappear [in despair]; the desire of the wicked shall perish and come to nothing.
