1. यहोवा का धन्यवाद करो, क्योंकि वह भला है; और उसकी करूणा सदा की है!

1. O give thanks unto Jehovah; For he is good; For his lovingkindness [endureth] for ever.

2. यहोवा के छुड़ाए हुए ऐसा ही कहें, जिन्हें उस ने द्रोही के हाथ से दाम देकर छुड़ा लिया है,

2. Let the redeemed of Jehovah say [so], Whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the adversary,

3. और उन्हें देश देश से पूरब- पश्चिम, उत्तर और दक्खिन से इकट्ठा किया है।।

3. And gathered out of the lands, From the east and from the west, From the north and from the south.

4. वे जंगल में मरूभूमि के मार्ग पर भटकते फिरे, और कोई बसा हुआ नगर न पाया;

4. They wandered in the wilderness in a desert way; They found no city of habitation.

5. भूख और प्यास के मारे, वे विकल हो गए।

5. Hungry and thirsty, Their soul fainted in them.

6. तब उन्हों ने संकट में यहोवा की दोहाई दी, और उस ने उनको सकेती से छुड़ाया;

6. Then they cried unto Jehovah in their trouble, And he delivered them out of their distresses,

7. और उनको ठीक मार्ग पर चलाया, ताकि वे बसने के लिये किसी नगर को जा पहुंचे।

7. He led them also by a straight way, That they might go to a city of habitation.

8. लोग यहोवा की करूणा के कारण, और उन आश्चर्यकर्मों के कारण, जो वह मनुष्यों के लिये करता है, उसका धन्यवाद करें!

8. Oh that men would praise Jehovah for his lovingkindness, And for his wonderful works to the children of men!

9. क्योंकि वह अभिलाषी जीव को सन्तुष्ट करता है, और भूखे को उत्तम पदार्थों से तृप्त करता है।।

9. For he satisfieth the longing soul, And the hungry soul he filleth with good.

10. जो अन्धियारे और मृत्यु की छाया में बैठे, और दु:ख में पड़े और बेड़ियों से जकड़े हुए थे,

10. Such as sat in darkness and in the shadow of death, Being bound in affliction and iron,

11. इसलिये कि वे ईश्वर के वचनों के विरूद्ध चले, और परमप्रधान की सम्मति को तुच्छ जाना।

11. Because they rebelled against the words of God, And contemned the counsel of the Most High:

12. तब उसने उनको कष्ट के द्वारा दबाया; वे ठोकर खाकर गिर पड़े, और उनको कोई सहायक न मिला।

12. Therefore he brought down their heart with labor; They fell down, and there was none to help.

13. तब उन्हों ने संकट में यहोवा की दोहाई दी, और उस न सकेती से उनका उद्धार किया;

13. Then they cried unto Jehovah in their trouble, And he saved them out of their distresses.

14. उस ने उनको अन्धियारे और मृत्यु की छाया में से निकाल लिया; और उनके बन्धनों को तोड़ डाला।

14. He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death, And brake their bonds in sunder.

15. लोग यहोवा की करूणा के कारण, और उन आश्चर्यकर्मों के कारण जो वह मनुष्यों के लिये करता है, उसका धन्यवाद करें!

15. Oh that men would praise Jehovah for his lovingkindness, And for his wonderful works to the children of men!

16. क्योंकि उस ने पीतल के फाटकों को तोड़ा, और लोहे के बेण्डों को टुकड़े टुकड़े किया।।

16. For he hath broken the gates of brass, And cut the bars of iron in sunder.

17. मूढ़ अपनी कुचाल, और अधर्म के कामों के कारण अति दु:खित होते हैं।

17. Fools because of their transgression, And because of their iniquities, are afflicted.

18. उनका जी सब भांति के भोजन से मिचलाता है, और वे मृत्यु के फाटक तक पहुंचते हैं।

18. Their soul abhorreth all manner of food; And they draw near unto the gates of death.

19. तब वे संकट में यहोवा की दोहाई देते हैं, और व सकेती से उनका उद्धार करता है;

19. Then they cry unto Jehovah in their trouble, And he saveth them out of their distresses.

20. वह अपने वचन के द्वारा उनको चंगा करता और जिस गड़हे में वे पड़े हैं, उस से निकालता है।

20. He sendeth his word, and healeth them, And delivereth [them] from their destructions.

21. लोग यहोवा की करूणा के कारण और उन आश्चर्यकर्मों के कारण जो वह मनुष्यों के लिये करता है, उसका धन्यवाद करें!

21. Oh that men would praise Jehovah for his lovingkindness, And for his wonderful works to the children of men!

22. और वे धन्यवादबलि चढ़ाएं, और जयजयकार करते हुए, उसके कामों का वर्णन करें।।

22. And let them offer the sacrifices of thanksgiving, And declare his works with singing.

23. जो लोग जहाजों में समुद्र पर चलते हैं, और महासागर पर होकर व्योपार करते हैं;

23. They that go down to the sea in ships, That do business in great waters;

24. वे यहोवा के कामों को, और उन आश्चर्यकर्मों को जो वह गहिरे समुद्र में करता है, देखते हैं।

24. These see the works of Jehovah, And his wonders in the deep.

25. क्योंकि वह आज्ञा देता है, वह प्रचण्ड बयार उठकर तरंगों को उठाती है।

25. For he commandeth, and raiseth the stormy wind, Which lifteth up the waves thereof.

26. वे आकाश तक चढ़ जाते, फिर गहराई में उतर आते हैं; और क्लेश के मारे उनके जी में जी नहीं रहता;

26. They mount up to the heavens, they go down again to the depths: Their soul melteth away because of trouble.

27. वे चक्कर खाते, और मतवाले की नाई लड़खड़ाते हैं, और उनकी सारी बुद्धि मारी जाती है।

27. They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, And are at their wits' end.

28. तब वे संकट में यहोवा की दोहाई देते हैं, और वह उनको सकेती से निकालता है।

28. Then they cry unto Jehovah in their trouble, And he bringeth them out of their distresses.

29. वह आंधी को थाम देता है और तरंगें बैठ जाती हैं।

29. He maketh the storm a calm, So that the waves thereof are still.

30. तब वे उनके बैठने से आनन्दित होते हैं, और वह उनको मन चाहे बन्दर स्थान में पहुंचा देता है।

30. Then are they glad because they are quiet; So he bringeth them unto their desired haven.

31. लोग यहोवा की करूणा के कारण, और वह उन आश्चर्यकर्मों के कारण जो वह मनुष्यों के लिये करता है, उसका धन्यवाद करें।

31. Oh that men would praise Jehovah for his lovingkindness, And for his wonderful works to the children of men!

32. और सभा में उसको सराहें, और पुरतियों के बैठक में उसकी स्तुति करें।।

32. Let them exalt him also in the assembly of the people, And praise him in the seat of the elders.

33. वह नदियों को जंगल बना डालता है, और जल के सोतों को सूखी भूमि कर देता है।

33. He turneth rivers into a wilderness, And watersprings into a thirsty ground;

34. वह फलवन्त भूमि को नोनी करता है, यह वहां के रहनेवालों की दुष्टता के कारण होता है।

34. A fruitful land into a salt desert, For the wickedness of them that dwell therein.

35. वह जंगल को जल का ताल, और निर्जल देश को जल के सोते कर देता है।

35. He turneth a wilderness into a pool of water, And a dry land into watersprings.

36. और वहां वह भूखों को बसाता है, कि वे बसने के लिये नगर तैयार करें;

36. And there he maketh the hungry to dwell, That they may prepare a city of habitation,

37. और खेती करें, और दाख की बारियां लगाएं, और भांति भांति के फल उपजा लें।

37. And sow fields, and plant vineyards, And get them fruits of increase.

38. और वह उनको ऐसी आशीष देता है कि वे बहुत बढ़ जाते हैं, और उनके पशुओं को भी वह घटने नहीं देता।।

38. He blesseth them also, so that they are multiplied greatly; And he suffereth not their cattle to decrease.

39. फिर अन्धेर, विपत्ति और शोक के कारण, वे घटते और दब जाते हैं।

39. Again, they are diminished and bowed down Through oppression, trouble, and sorrow.

40. और वह हाकिमों को अपमान से लादकर मार्ग रहित जंगल में भटकाता है;

40. He poureth contempt upon princes, And causeth them to wander in the waste, where there is no way.

41. वह दरिद्रों को दु:ख से छुड़ाकर ऊंचे पर रखता है, और उनको भेड़ों के झुंड सा परिवार देता है।

41. Yet setteth he the needy on high from affliction, And maketh [him] families like a flock.

42. सीधे लोग देखकर आनन्दित होते हैं; और सब कुटिल लोग अपने मुंह बन्द करते हैं।

42. The upright shall see it, and be glad; And all iniquity shall stop her mouth.

43. जो कोई बुद्धिमान हो, वह इन बातों पर ध्यान करेगा; और यहोवा की करूणा के कामों पर ध्यान करेगा।।

43. Whoso is wise will give heed to these things; And they will consider the lovingkindnesses of Jehovah.
