1. क्या तू जानता है कि पहाड़ पर की जंगली बकरियां कब बच्चे देती हैं? वा जब हरिणियां बियाती हैं, तब क्या तू देखता रहता है?

3. जब वे बैठकर अपने बच्चों को जनतीं, वे अपनी पीड़ों से छूट जाती हैं?

3. Or when they lye downe, when they cast their yonge ones, & when they are delyuered off their trauayle & payne?

4. उनके बच्चे हृष्टपुष्ट होकर मैदान में बढ़ जाते हैं; वे निकल जाते और फिर नहीं लौटते।

4. How their yoge ones growe vp & waxe greate thorow good fedinge?

5. किस ने बनैले गदहे को स्वाधीन करके छोड़ दिया है? किस ने उसके बन्धन खोले हैं?

5. who letteth the wilde asse go fre, or who lowseth the bodes of the Moole?

6. उसका घर मैं ने निर्जल देश को, और उसका निवास लोनिया भूमि को ठहराया है।

6. Vnto who I haue geuen the wyldernes to be their house, & the vntilled londe to be their dwellinge place.

7. वह नगर के कोलाहल पर हंसता, और हांकनेवाले की हांक सुनता भी नहीं।

7. That they maye geue no force for the multitude off people in the cities, nether to regarde the crienge of the dryuer:

8. पहाड़ों पर जो कुछ मिलता है उसे वह चरता वह सब भांति की हरियाली ढूंढ़ता फिरता है।

8. but to seke their pasture aboute the moutaynes, & to folowe vpon the grene grasse.

9. क्या जंगली सांढ़ तेरा काम करने को प्रसन्न होगा? क्या वह तेरी चरनी के पास रहेगा?

9. Wyll the vnicorne be so tame as to do ye seruyce, or to abyde still by thy cribbe?

10. क्या तू जंगली सांढ़ को रस्से से बान्धकर रेघारियों में चला सकता है? क्या वह नालों में तेरे पीछे पीछे हेंगा फेरेगा?

10. Cast thou bynde ye yock aboute him in thy forowes, to make him plowe after the in ye valleis?

11. क्या तू उसके बड़े बल के कारण उस पर भरोसा करेगा? वा जो परिश्रम का काम तेरा हो, क्या तू उसे उस पर छोड़ेगा?

11. Mayest thou trust hi (because he is stroge) or comitte thy labor vnto hi?

12. क्या तू उसका विश्वास करेगा, कि वह तेरा अनाज घर ले आए, और तेरे खलिहान का अन्न इकट्ठा करे?

12. Mayest thou beleue hi, yt he wil brige home yi corne, or to cary eny thinge vnto yi barne?

13. फिर शुतुरमुग अपने पंखों को आनन्द से फुलाती है, परन्तु क्या ये पंख और पर स्नेह को प्रगट करते हैं?

13. The Estrich (whose fethers are fayrer the ye wynges of the sparow hauke)

14. क्योंकि वह तो अपने अणडे भूमि पर छोड़ देती और धूलि में उन्हें गर्म करती है;

14. whe he hath layed his egges vpon the grounde, he bredeth them in the dust,

15. और इसकी सुधि नहीं रखती, कि वे पांव से कुचले जाएंगे, वा कोई वनपशु उनको कुचल डालेगा।

15. and forgetteth them: so that they might be troden with fete, or broken with somme wilde beast.

16. वह अपने बच्चों से ऐसी कठोरता करती है कि मानो उसके नहीं हैं; यद्यपि उसका कष्ट अकारथ होता है, तौभी वह निश्चिन्त रहती है;

16. So harde is he vnto his yong ones, as though they were not his, and laboureth in vayne without eny feare.

17. क्योंकि ईश्वर ने उसको बुध्दिरहित बनाया, और उसे समझने की शक्ति नहीं दी।

17. And that because God hath taken wisdome from him, & hath not geuen him vnderstondinge.

18. जिस समय वह सीधी होकर अपने पंख फैलाती है, तब घोड़े और उसके सवार दोनों को कुछ नहीं समझती है।

18. When his tyme is, he flyeth vp an hye, and careth nether for horse ner man.

19. क्या तू ने घोड़े को उसका बल दिया है? क्या तू ने उसकी गर्दन में फहराती हुई अयाल जमाई है?

19. Hast thou geuen the horse is strength, or lerned him to bowe downe his neck with feare:

20. क्या उसको टिड्डी की सी उछलने की शक्ति तू देता है? उसके कुंक्कारने का शब्द डरावना होता है।

20. that he letteth him self be dryuen forth like a greshopper, where as the stoute neyenge that he maketh, is fearfull?

21. वह तराई में टाप मारता है और अपने बल से हर्षित रहता है, वह हथियारबन्दों का साम्हना करने को निकल पड़ता है।

21. he breaketh ye grounde with the hoffes of his fete chearfully in his strength, and runneth to mete the harnest men.

22. वह डर की बात पर हंसता, और नहीं घबराता; और तलवार से पीछे नहीं हटता।

22. He layeth asyde all feare, his stomack is not abated, nether starteth he a back for eny swerde.

23. तर्कश और चमकता हुआ सांग ओर भाला उस पर खड़खड़ाता है।

23. Though the quyuers rattle vpon him, though the speare and shilde glistre:

24. वह रिस और क्रोध के मारे भूमि को निगलता है; जब नरसिंगे का शब्द सुनाई देता है तब वह रूकता नहीं।

24. yet russheth he in fearsly, and beateth vpon the grounde. He feareth not the noyse of the trompettes,

25. जब जब नरसिंगा बजता तब तब वह हिन हिन करता है, और लड़ाई और अफसरों की ललकार और जय- जयकार को दूर से सूंध लेता हे।

25. but as soone as he heareth the shawmes blowe, tush (sayeth he) for he smelleth the batell afarre of, ye noyse, the captaynes and the shoutinge.

26. क्या तेरे समझाने से बाज़ उड़ता है, और दक्खिन की ओर उड़ने को अपने पंख फैलाता है?

26. Commeth it thorow thy wysdome, that the goshauke flyeth towarde the south?

27. क्या उकाब तेरी आज्ञा से ऊपर चढ़ जाता है, और ऊंचे स्थान पर अपना घोंसला बनाता है?

27. Doth the Aegle mounte vp & make his nest on hye at thy commaundement?

28. वह चट्टान पर रहता और चट्टान की चोटी और दृढ़स्थान पर बसेरा करता है।

28. He abydeth in the stony rockes, ad vpon the hye toppes of harde mountaynes, where no man can come.

29. वह अपनी आंखों से दूर तक देखता है, वहां से वह अपने अहेर को ताक लेता है।

29. From thence maye he beholde his praye, and loke farre aboute with his eyes.

30. उसके बच्चे भी लोहू चूसते हैं; और जहां घात किए हुए लोग होते वहां वह भी होता है।
