1. तब एल्याशीब महायाजक ने अपने भाई याजकों समेत कमर बान्धकर भेड़फाटक को बनाया। उन्हों ने उसकी प्रतिष्ठा की, और उसके पल्लों को भी लगाया; और हम्मेआ नाम गुम्मट तक वरन हननेल के गुम्मट के पास तक उन्हों ने शहरपनाह की प्रतिष्ठा की।

1. Then Eliashib the high priest rose up with his brethren the priests, and they builded the sheep gate; they sanctified it, and set up the doors of it; even unto the tower of Hammeah they sanctified it, unto the tower of Hananel.

2. उस से आगे यरीहो के मनुष्यों ने बनाया। और इन से आगे इम्री के पुत्रा जक्कूर ने बनाया ।

2. And next unto him builded the men of Jericho. And next to them builded Zaccur the son of Imri.

3. फिर मछलीफाटक को हस्सना के बेटों ने बनाया; उन्हों ने उसकी कड़ियां लगाई, और उसके पल्ले, ताले और बेंड़े लगाए।

3. And the fish gate did the sons of Hassenaah build; they laid the beams thereof, and set up the doors thereof, the bolts thereof, and the bars thereof.

4. और उन से आगे मरेमोत ने जो हक्कोस का पोता और ऊरियाह का पुत्रा था, मरम्मत की। और इन से आगे मशुल्लाम ने जो मशेजबेल का पोता, और बरेक्याह का पुत्रा था, मरम्मत की। और इस से आगे बाना के पुत्रा सादोक ने मरम्मत की।

4. And next unto them repaired Meremoth the son of Uriah, the son of Hakkoz. And next unto them repaired Meshullam the son of Berechiah, the son of Meshezabel. And next unto them repaired Zadok the son of Baana.

5. और इन से आगे तकोइयों ने मरम्मत की; परन्तु उनके रईसों ने अपने प्रभु की सेवा का जूआ अपनी गर्दन पर न लिया।

5. And next unto them the Tekoites repaired; but their nobles put not their necks to the work of their lord.

6. फिर पुराने फाटक की मरम्मत पासेह के पुत्रा योयादा और बसोदयाह के पुत्रा मशुल्लाम ने की; उन्हों ने उसकी कड़ियां लगाई, और उसके पल्ले, ताले और बेंड़े लगाए।

6. And the old gate repaired Joiada the son of Paseah and Meshullam the son of Besodeiah; they laid the beams thereof, and set up the doors thereof, and the bolts thereof, and the bars thereof.

7. और उन से आगे गिबोनी मलत्याह और मेरोनोती यादोन ने और गिबोन और मिस्पा के मनुष्यों ने महानद के पार के अधिपति के सिंहासन की ओर से मरम्मत की।

7. And next unto them repaired Melatiah the Gibeonite, and Jadon the Meronothite, the men of Gibeon, and of Mizpah, {cf15i which appertained} to the throne of the governor beyond the river.

8. उन से आगे हर्हयाह के पुत्रा उजीएल ने और और सुनारों ने मरम्मत की। और इस से आगे हनन्याह ने, जो गन्धियों के समाज का था, मरम्मत की; और उन्हों ने चौड़ी शहरपनाह तक यरूशलेम को दृढ़ किया।

8. Next unto him repaired Uzziel the son of Harhaiah, goldsmiths. And next unto him repaired Hananiah one of the apothecaries, and they fortified Jerusalem even unto the broad wall.

9. और उन से आगे हूर के पुत्रा रपायाह ने, जो यरूशलेम के आधे जिले का हाकिम था, मरम्मत की।

9. And next unto them repaired Rephaiah the son of Hur, the ruler of half the district of Jerusalem.

10. और उन से आगे हरूमप के पुत्रा यदायाह ने अपने ही घर के साम्हने मरम्मत की; और इस से आगे हशब्नयाह के पुत्रा हत्तूश ने मरम्मत की।

10. And next unto them repaired Jedaiah the son of Harumaph, even over against his house. And next unto him repaired Hattush the son of Hashabneiah.

11. हारीम के पुत्रा मल्कियाह और पहत्तोआब के पुत्रा हश्शूब ने एक और भाग की, और भट्टों के गुम्मट की मरम्मत की।

11. Malchijah the son of Harim, and Hasshub the son of Pahathmoab, repaired another portion, and the tower of the furnaces.

12. इस से आगे यरूशलेम के आधे जिले के हाकिम हल्लोहेश के पुत्रा शल्लूम ने अपनी बेटियों समेत मरम्मत की।

12. And next unto him repaired Shallum the son of Hallohesh, the ruler of half the district of Jerusalem, he and his daughters.

13. तराई के फाटक की मरम्मत हानून और जानोह के निवासियों ने की; उन्हों ने उसको बनाया, और उसके ताले, बेंड़े और पल्ले लगाए, और हजार हाथ की शहरपनाह को भी अर्थात् कूड़ाफाटक तक बनाया।

13. The valley gate repaired Hanun, and the inhabitants of Zanoah; they built it, and set up the doors thereof, the bolts thereof, and the bars thereof, and a thousand cubits of the wall unto the dung gate.

14. और कूड़ाफाटक की मरम्मत रेकाब के पुत्रा मल्कियाह ने की, जो बेथक्केरेम के जिले का हाकिम था; उसी ने उसको बनाया, और उसके ताले, बेंड़े और पल्ले लगाए।

14. And the dung gate repaired Malchijah the son of Rechab, the ruler of the district of Bethhaccherem; he built it, and set up the doors thereof, the bolts thereof, and the bars thereof.

15. और सोताफाटक की मरम्मत कोल्होजे के पुत्रा शल्लूम ने की, जो मिस्पा के जिले का हाकिम था; उसी ने उसको बनाया और पाटा, और उसके ताले, बेंड़े और पल्ले लगाए; और उसी ने राजा की बारी के पास के शेलह नाम कुणड की शहरपनाह को भी दाऊदपुर से उतरनेवाली सीढ़ी तक बनाया।

15. And the fountain gate repaired Shallum the son of Colhozeh, the ruler of the district of Mizpah; he built it, and covered it, and set up the doors thereof, the bolts thereof, and the bars thereof, and the wall of the pool of Shelah by the kings garden, even unto the stairs that go down from the city of David.

16. उसके बाद अज अजबूक के पुत्रा नहेमायाह ने जो बेतसूर के आधे जिले का हाकिम था, दाऊद के कब्रिस्तान के साम्हने तक और बनाए हुए पोखरे तक, वरन वीरों के घर तक भी मरम्मत की।

16. After him repaired Nehemiah the son of Azbuk, the ruler of half the district of Bethzur, unto the place over against the sepulchres of David, and unto the pool that was made, and unto the house of the mighty men.

17. इसके बाद बानी के पुत्रा रहूम ने कितने लेवियों समेत मरम्मत की। इस से आगे कीला के आधे जिले के हाकिम हशब्याह ने अपने जिले की ओर से मरम्मत की।

17. After him repaired the Levites, Rehum the son of Bani. Next unto him repaired Hashabiah, the ruler of half the district of Keilah, for his district.

18. उसके बाद उनके भाइयों समेत कीला के आधे जिले के हाकिम हेनादाद के पुत्रा बव्वै ने मरम्मत की।

18. After him repaired their brethren, Bavvai the son of Henadad, the ruler of half the district of Keilah.

19. उस से आगे एक और भाग की मरम्मत जो शहरपनाह के मोड़ के पास शस्त्रों के घर की चढ़ाई के साम्हने है, येशु के पुत्रा एज़ेर ने की, जो मिस्पा का हाकिम था।

19. And next to him repaired Ezer the son of Jeshua, the ruler of Mizpah, another portion, over against the going up to the armoury at the turning {cf15i of the wall}.

20. फिर एक और भाग की अर्थात् उसी मोड़ से ले एल्याशीब महायाजक के घर के द्वार तक की मरम्मत जब्बै के पुत्रा बारूक ने तन मन से की।

20. After him Baruch the son of Zabbai earnestly repaired another portion, from the turning {cf15i of the wall} unto the door of the house of Eliashib the high priest.

21. इसके बाद एक और भाग की अर्थात् एल्याशीब के घर के द्वार से ले उसी घर के सिरे तक की मरम्मत, मरेमोत ने की, जो हक्कोस का पोता और ऊरियाह का पुत्रा था।

21. After him repaired Meremoth the son of Uriah the son of Hakkoz another portion, from the door of the house of Eliashib even to the end of the house of Eliashib.

22. उसके बाद उन याजकों ने मरम्मत की जो तराई के मनुष्य थे।

22. And after him repaired the priests, the men of the Plain.

23. उनके बाद बिन्यामीन और हश्शूब ने अपने घर के साम्हने मरम्मत की; और इनके पीछे अजर्याह ने जो मासेयाह का पुत्रा और अनन्याह का पोता था अपने घर के पास मरम्मत की।

23. After them repaired Benjamin and Hasshub over against their house. After them repaired Azariah the son of Maaseiah the son of Ananiah beside his own house.

24. तब एक और भाग की, अर्थात् अजर्याह के घर से लेकर शहरपनाह के मोड़ तक वरन उसके कोने तक की मरम्मत हेनादाद के पुत्रा बिन्नूई ने की।

24. After him repaired Binnui the son of Henadad another portion, from the house of Azariah unto the turning {cf15i of the wall}, and unto the corner.

25. फिर उसी मोड़ के साम्हने जो ऊंचा गुम्मट राजभवन से बाहर निकला हुआ बन्दीगृह के आंगन के पास है, उसके साम्हने ऊजै के पुत्रा पालाल ने मरम्मत की। इसके बाद परोश के पुत्रा पदायाह ने मरम्मत की।

25. Palal the son of Uzai {cf15i repaired} over against the turning {cf15i of the wall}, and the tower that standeth out from the upper house of the king, which is by the court of the guard. After him Pedaiah the son of Parosh {cf15i repaired}.

26. नतीन लोग तो ओपेल में पूरब की ओर जलफाटक के साम्हने तक और बाहर निकले हुए गुम्मट तक रहते थे।

26. (Now the Nethinim dwelt in Ophel, unto the place over against the water gate toward the east, and the tower that standeth out.)

27. पदायाह के बाद तकोइयों ने एक और भाग की मरम्मत की, जो बाहर तिकले हुए बड़े गुम्मट के साम्हने और ओबेल की शहरपनाह तक है।

27. After him the Tekoites repaired another portion, over against the great tower that standeth out, and unto the wall of Ophel.

28. फिर घोड़ाफाटक के ऊपर याजकों ने अपने अपने घर के साम्हने मरम्मत की।

28. Above the horse gate repaired the priests, every one over against his own house.

29. इनके बाद इम्मेर के पुत्रा सादोक ने अपने घर के साम्हने मरम्मत की; और तब पूरवी फाटक के रखवाले शकन्याह के पुत्रा समयाह ने मरम्मत की।

29. After them repaired Zadok the son of Immer over against his own house. And after him repaired Shemaiah the son of Shecaniah, the keeper of the east gate.

30. इसके बाद शेलेम्याह के पुत्रा हनन्याह और सालाप के छठवें पुत्रा हानून ने एक और भाग की मरम्मत की। तब बेरेक्याह के पुत्रा मशुल्लाम ने अपनी कोठरी के साम्हने मरम्मत की।

30. After him repaired Hananiah the son of Shelemiah, and Hanun the sixth son of Zalaph, another portion. After him repaired Meshullam the son of Berechiah over against his chamber.

31. उसके बाद मल्कियाह ने जो सुनार था नतिनों और व्यापारियों के स्थान तक ठहराए हुए स्थान के फाटक के साम्हने और कोने के कोठे तक मरम्मत की।

31. After him repaired Malchijah one of the goldsmiths unto the house of the Nethinim, and of the merchants, over against the gate of Hammiphkad, and to the ascent of the corner.

32. और कोनेवाले कोठे से लेकर भेड़फाटक तक सुनारों और व्यापारियों ने मरम्मत की।

32. And between the ascent of the corner and the sheep gate repaired the goldsmiths and the merchants.
