1. फारस के राजा कु ू के पहिले वर्ष में यहोवा ने फारस के राजा कु ू का मन उभारा कि यहोवा का जो वचन यिर्मयाह के मुंह से निकला था वह पूरा हो जाए, इसलिये उस ने अपने समस्त राज्य में यह प्रचार करवाया और लिखवा भी दिया:

1. Nowe in the first yere of Cyrus King of Persia (that the worde of the Lord, spoken by the mouth of Ieremiah, might be accomplished) the Lord stirred vp the spirite of Cyrus King of Persia, and hee made a Proclamation thorowe all his Kingdome, and also by writing, saying,

2. कि फारस का राजा कु ू यों कहता है : कि स्वर्ग के परमेश्वर यहोवा ने पृथ्वी भर का राज्य मुझे दिया है, और उस ने मुझे आज्ञा दी, कि यहूदा के यरूशलेम में मेरा एक भवन बनवा।

2. Thus saith Cyrus King of Persia, The Lord God of heauen hath giuen me all the kingdomes of the earth, and he hath commanded me to builde him an house in Ierusalem, which is in Iudah.

3. उसकी समस्त प्रजा के लोगों में से तुम्हारे मध्य जो कोई हो, उसका परमेश्वर उसके साथ रहे, और वह यहूदा के यरूशलेम को जाकर इस्राएल के परमेश्वर यहोवा का भवन बनाए - जो यरूशलेम में है वही परमेश्वर है।

3. Who is he among you of all his people with whome his God is? let him goe vp to Ierusalem which is in Iudah, and buylde the house of the Lord God of Israel: he is the God, which is in Ierusalem.

4. और जो कोई किसी स्थान में रह गया हो, जहां वह रहता हो, उस स्थान के मनुष्य चान्दी, सोना, धन और पशु देकर उसकी सहायता करें और इस से अधिक परमेश्वर के यरूशलेम के भवन के लिये अपनी अपनी इच्छा से भी भेंट चढ़ाएं।।

4. And euery one that remayneth in any place (where he soiourneth) let the men of his place relieue him with siluer and with golde, and with substance, and with cattel, and with a willing offring, for the house of God that is in Ierusalem.

5. तब यहूदा और बिन्यामीन के जितने पितरों के घरानों के मुख्य पुरूषों और याजकों ओर लेवियों का मन परमेश्वर ने उभारा था कि जाकर यरूशलेम में यहोवा के भवन को बनाएं, वे सब उठ खड़े हुए;

5. Then the chiefe fathers of Iudah and Beniamin, and the Priests and Leuites rose vp, with al them whose spirit God had raysed to goe vp, to builde the house of the Lord which is in Ierusalem.

6. और उनके आसपास सब रहनेवालों ने चान्दी के पात्रा, सोना, धन, पशु और अनमोल वस्तुएं देकर, उनकी सहायता की; यह उन सब से अधिक था, जो लोगों ने अपनी अपनी इच्छा से दिया।

6. And all they that were about them, strengthened their handes with vessels of siluer, with golde, with substance and with cattell, and with precious thinges, besides all that was willingly offred.

7. फिर यहोवा ने भवन के जो पात्रा नबूकदनेस्सर ने यरूशलेम से निकालकर अपने देवता के भवन में रखे थे,

7. Also the King Cyrus brought forth the vessels of the house of the Lord, which Nebuchadnezzar had taken out of Ierusalem, and had put them in the house of his god.

8. उनको कु ू राजा ने, मिथूदान खजांची से निकलवा कर, यहूदियों के शेशबस्सर नाम प्रधान को गिनकर सौंप दिया।

8. Euen them did Cyrus King of Persia bring forth by the hand of Mithredath the treasurer, and counted them vnto Sheshbazzar the Prince of Iudah.

9. उनकी गिनती यह थी, अर्थात् सोने के तीस और चान्दी के एक हजार परात और उनतीस छुरी,

9. And this is the nomber of them, thirtie basins of golde, a thousand basins of siluer, nine and twentie kniues,

10. सोने के तीस और मघ्यम प्रकार के चान्दी के चार सौ दस कटोरे तथा और प्रकार के पात्रा एक हजार।

10. Thirtie boules of gold, and of siluer boules of the second sort, foure hundreth and tenne, and of other vessels, a thousand.

11. सोने चान्दी के पात्रा सब मिलकर पांच हजार चार सौ थे। इन सभों को शेशबस्सर उस समय ले आया जब बन्धुए बाबेल से यरूशलेम को आए।।

11. All the vessels of golde and siluer were fiue thousand and foure hundreth. Sheshbazzar brought vp all with them of the captiuitie that came vp from Babel to Ierusalem.
