1. तब अरयूब ने कहा,

1. Then responded Job, and said:

2. निर्बल जन की तू ने क्या ही बड़ी सहायता की, और जिसकी बांह में सामर्थ्य नहीं, उसको तू ने कैसे सम्भाला है?

2. How hast thou given help to one of no-strength? given victory to an arm of no-power?

3. निर्बुध्दि मनुष्य को तू ने क्या ही अच्छी सम्मति दी, और अपनी खरी बुध्दि कैसी भली भांति प्रगट की है?

3. How hast thou given counsel to one of no-wisdom? or, effective wisdom, abundantly made known?

4. तू ने किसके हित के लिये बातें कही? और किसके मन की बातें तेरे मुंह से निकलीं?

4. Whom hast thou taught speech? Whose inspiration hath come from thee?

5. बहुत दिन के मरे हुए लोग भी जलनिधि और उसके निवासियों के तले तड़पते हैं।

5. The shades, tremble, beneath the waters and their inhabitants;

6. अधोलोक उसके साम्हने उधड़ा रहता है, और विनाश का स्थान ढंप नहीं सकता।
प्रकाशितवाक्य 9:11

6. Naked is hades before him, and there is no covering to destruction;

7. वह उत्तर दिशा को निराधार फैलाए रहता है, और बिना अेक पृथ्वी को लटकाए रखता है।

7. Who stretcheth out the north over emptiness, hangeth the earth upon nothingness;

8. वह जल को अपनी काली घटाओं में बान्ध रखता, और बादल उसके बोझ से नहीं फटता।

8. Who bindeth up the waters in his thick clouds, and the cloud is not rent beneath them;

9. वह अपने सिंहासन के साम्हने बादल फैलाकर उसको छिपाए रखता है।

9. Who shutteth-in the face of the throne, he spreadeth over it his cloud;

10. उजियाले और अन्धियारे के बीच जहां सिवाना बंधा है, वहां तक उस ने जलनिधि का सिवाना ठहरा रखा है।

10. A, boundary, hath he encircled on the face of the waters, as far as where light ends in darkness;

11. उसकी घुड़की से आकाश के खम्भे थरथराकर चकित होते हैं।

11. The pillars of the heavens, are shaken, and are terrified at his rebuke:

12. वह अपने बल से समुद्र को उछालता, और अपनी बुध्दि से घपणड को छेद देता है।

12. By his strength, hath he excited the sea, and, by his skill, hath he shattered the Crocodile:

13. उसकी आत्मा से आकाशमणडल स्वच्छ हो जाता है, वह अपने हाथ से वेग भागनेवाले नाग को मार देता है।

13. By his spirit, hath he arched the heavens, His hand hath pierced the fleeing serpent.

14. देखो, ये तो उसकी गति के किनारे ही हैं; और उसकी आहट फुसफुसाहट ही सी तो सुन पड़ती है, फिर उसके पराक्रम के गरजने का भेद कौन समझ सकता है?

14. Lo! these, are the fringes of his way, and what a whisper of a word hath been heard of him! But, the thunder of his might, who could understand?
