1. जो मुझ को पूछते भी न थे वे मेरे खोजी हैं; जो मुझे ढूंढ़ते भी न थे उन्हों ने मुझे पा लिया, और जो जाति मेरी नहीं कहलाई थी, उस से भी मैं कहता हूं, देख, मैं उपस्थित हूं।
रोमियों 10:20-21

1. The LORD said, 'I was ready to answer my people's prayers, but they did not pray. I was ready for them to find me, but they did not even try. The nation did not pray to me, even though I was always ready to answer, 'Here I am; I will help you.'

2. मैं एक हठीली जाति के लोगों की ओर दिन भर हाथ फैलाए रहा, जो अपनी युक्तियों के अनुसार बुरे मार्गों में चलते हैं।

2. I have always been ready to welcome my people, who stubbornly do what is wrong and go their own way.

3. ऐसे लो, जो मेरे साम्हने ही बारियों में बलि चढ़ा चढ़ाकर और ईंटों पर धूप जला जलाकर, मुझे लगातार क्रोध दिलाते हैं।

3. They shamelessly keep on making me angry. They offer pagan sacrifices at sacred gardens and burn incense on pagan altars.

4. ये कब्र के बीच बैठते और छिपे हुए स्थानों में रात बिताते; जो सूअर का मांस खाते, और घृणित वस्तुओं का रस अपने बर्तनों में रखते;

4. At night they go to caves and tombs to consult the spirits of the dead. They eat pork and drink broth made from meat offered in pagan sacrifices.

5. जो कहते हैं, हट जा, मेरे निकट मत आ, क्योंकि मैं तुझ से पवित्रा हूं। ये मेरी नाक में धूंएं व उस आग के समान हैं जो दिन भर जलती रहती है।

5. And then they say to others, 'Keep away from us; we are too holy for you to touch!' I cannot stand people like that---my anger against them is like a fire that never goes out.

6. देखो, यह बात मेरे साम्हने लिखी हुई है: मैं चुप न रहूंगा, मैं निश्चय बदला दूंगा वरन तुम्हारे और तुम्हारे पुरखाओं के भी अधर्म के कामों का बदला तुम्हारी गोद में भर दूंगा।

6. 'I have already decided on their punishment, and their sentence is written down. I will not overlook what they have done, but will repay them

7. क्योंकि उन्हों ने पहाड़ों पर धूप जलाया और पहाड़ियों पर मेरी निन्दा की है, इसलिये मैं यहोवा कहता हूं, कि, उनके पिछले कामों के बदले को मैं इनकी गोद में तौलकर दूंगा।।

7. for their sins and the sins of their ancestors. They have burned incense at pagan hill shrines and spoken evil of me. So I will punish them as their past deeds deserve.'

8. यहोवा यों कहता है, जिस भांति दाख के किसी गुच्छे में जब नया दाखमधु भर आता है, तब लोग कहते हैं, उसे नाश मत कर, क्योंकि उस में आशीष है; उसी भांति मैं अपने दासों के निमित्त ऐसा करूंगा कि सभों को नाश न करूंगा।

8. The LORD says, 'No one destroys good grapes; instead, they make wine with them. Neither will I destroy all my people---I will save those who serve me.

9. मैं याकूब में से एक वंश, और यहूदा में से अपने पर्वतों का एक वारिस उत्पन्न करूंगा; मेरे चुने हुए उसके वारिस होंगे, और मेरे दास वहां निवास करेंगे।

9. I will bless the Israelites who belong to the tribe of Judah, and their descendants will possess my land of mountains. My chosen people, who serve me, will live there.

10. मेरी प्रजा जो मुझे ढूंढ़ती है, उसकी भेंड़- बकरियां तो शारोन में चरेंगी, और उसके गाय- बैल आकोर नाम तराई में विश्राम करेंगे।

10. They will worship me and will lead their sheep and cattle to pasture in the Plain of Sharon in the west and in Trouble Valley in the east.

11. परन्तु तुम जो यहोवा को त्याग देते और मेरे पवित्रा पर्वत को भूल जाते हो, जो भाग्य देवता के लिये मेंज पर भोजन की वस्तुएं सजाते और भावी देवी के लिये मसाला मिला हुआ दाखमधु भर देते हो;

11. 'But it will be different for you that forsake me, who ignore Zion, my sacred hill, and worship Gad and Meni, the gods of luck and fate.

12. मैं तुम्हें गिन गिनकर तलवार का कौर बनाऊंगा, और तुम सब घात होने के लिये झुकोगे; क्योंकि, जब मैं ने तुम्हें बुलाया तुम ने उत्तर न दिया, जब मैं बोला, तब तुम ने मेरी न सुनी; वरन जो मुझे बुरा लगता है वही तुम ने नित किया, और जिस से मैं अप्रसन्न होता हूं, उसी को तुम ने अपनाया।।

12. It will be your fate to die a violent death, because you did not answer when I called you or listen when I spoke. You chose to disobey me and do evil.

13. इस कारण प्रभु यहोवा यों कहता है, देखो, मेरे दास तो खाएंगे, पर तुम भूखे रहोगे; मेरे दास पीएंगे, पर तुम प्यासे रहोगे; मेरे दास आनन्द करेंगे, पर तुम लज्जित होगे;

13. And so I tell you that those who worship and obey me will have plenty to eat and drink, but you will be hungry and thirsty. They will be happy, but you will be disgraced.

14. देखो, मेरे दास हर्ष के मारे जयजयकार करेंगे, परन्तु तुम शोक से चिल्लाओगे और खेद के मारे हाय हाय, करोगे।

14. They will sing for joy, but you will cry with a broken heart.

15. मेरे चुने हुए लोग तुम्हारी उपमा दे देकर शाप देंगे, और प्रभु यहोवा तुझ को नाश करेगा; परन्तु अपने दासों का दूसरा नाम रखेगा।

15. My chosen people will use your name as a curse. I, the Sovereign LORD, will put you to death. But I will give a new name to those who obey me.

16. तब सारे देश में जो कोई अपने को धन्य कहेगा वह सच्चे परमेश्वर का नाम लेकर अपने को धन्य कहेगा, और जो कोई देश में शपथ खाए वह सच्चे परमेश्वर के नाम से शपथ खाएगा; क्योंकि पिछला कष्ट दूर हो गया और वह मेरी आंखों से छिप गया है।।

16. Anyone in the land who asks for a blessing will ask to be blessed by the faithful God. Whoever takes an oath will swear by the name of the faithful God. The troubles of the past will be gone and forgotten.'

17. क्योंकि देखो, मैं नया आकाश और नई पृथ्वी उत्पन्न करने पर हूं, और पहिली बातें स्मरण न रहेंगी और सोच विचार में भी न आएंगी।

17. The LORD says, 'I am making a new earth and new heavens. The events of the past will be completely forgotten.

18. इसलिये जो मैं उत्पन्न करने पर हूं, उसके कारण तुम हर्षित हो और सदा सर्वदा मगन रहो; क्योंकि देखो, मैं यरूशलेम को मगन और उसकी प्रजा को आनन्दित बनाऊंगा।

18. Be glad and rejoice forever in what I create. The new Jerusalem I make will be full of joy, and her people will be happy.

19. मैं आप यरूशलेम के कारण मगन, और अपनी प्रजा के हेतु हर्षित हूंगा; उस में फिर रोने वा चिल्लाने का शब्द न सुनाई पड़ेगा।

19. I myself will be filled with joy because of Jerusalem and her people. There will be no weeping there, no calling for help.

20. उस में फिर न तो थोड़े दिन का बच्चा, और न ऐसा बूढ़ा जाता रहेगा जिस ने अपनी आयु पूरी न की हो; क्योंकि जो लड़कपन में मरनेवाला है वह सौ वर्ष का होकर मरेगा, परन्तु पापी सौ वर्ष का होकर श्रापित ठहरेगा।

20. Babies will no longer die in infancy, and all people will live out their life span. Those who live to be a hundred will be considered young. To die before that would be a sign that I had punished them.

21. वे घर बनाकर उन में बसेंगे; वे दाख की बारियां लगाकर उनका फल खाएंगे।

21. People will build houses and get to live in them---they will not be used by someone else. They will plant vineyards and enjoy the wine---it will not be drunk by others. Like trees, my people will live long lives. They will fully enjoy the things that they have worked for.

22. ऐसा नहीं होगा कि वे बनाएं और दूसरा बसे; वा वे लगाएं, और दूसरा खाए; क्योंकि मेरी प्रजा की आयु वृक्षों की सी होगी, और मेरे चुने हुए अपने कामों का पूरा लाभ उठाएंगे।

23. उनका परिश्रम व्यर्थ न होगा, न उनके बालक घबराहट के लिये उत्पन्न होंगे; क्योंकि वे यहोवा के धन्य लोगों का वंश ठहरेंगे, और उनके बालबच्चे उन से अलग न होंगे।

23. The work they do will be successful, and their children will not meet with disaster. I will bless them and their descendants for all time to come.

24. उनके पुकारने से पहिले ही मैं उनको उत्तर दूंगा, और उनके मांगते ही मैं उनकी सुन लूंगा।

24. Even before they finish praying to me, I will answer their prayers.

25. भेड़िया और मेम्ना एक संग चरा करेंगे, और सिंह बैल की नाई भूसा खाएगा; और सर्प का आहार मिट्टी ही रहेगा। मेरे सारे पवित्रा पर्वत पर न तो कोई किसी को दु:ख देगा और न कोई किसी की हानि करेगा, यहोवा का यही वचन है।।

25. Wolves and lambs will eat together; lions will eat straw, as cattle do, and snakes will no longer be dangerous. On Zion, my sacred hill, there will be nothing harmful or evil.'
